Hotel Calypso Cancun Reviews

First time writing a review and I hope people be aware of this place as dirty, inside the room sink leaking, ceiling falling apart completely in the common area , electrical wires exposed in the always. I addressed this situation to the front desk and they didn’t care whatsoever. Please be aware if you choose this hotel

This is nice, clean, basic accommodation. Our first assigned room had an issue with the SC - so they moved us to another with a smile. No problem. Location is just on the edge of the Hotel Zone with ample restaurants within walking distance - or easy bus ride to the more populated areas. Easy access to the XCaret Embarcadero for the ferry to the island. The staff are very friendly. The food is mostly at the least above average; some was even excellent. I reccomend the gourmet tostadas. Breakfast buffet is substantial with many choices - and includes any 1 made-to-order from the kitchen item - we all know buffet eggs are not the best! But a fresh omelet fits the bill to start the day. Pool is beautiful and surrounded by lush vegetation. Some items for improvement - ice is hard to come by here and there are no mini-fridges in the room, making it difficult to keep our small bit of cold items, cold. Lighting in the bathroom was so very dim that it was impossible to do makeup there - and there are no hair dryers to be had, so I was probably a-fright in my vacation photos! Lol. They only allow 1 room key per room (which seemed odd to me being that they use key cards which are easy enough to duplicate at no additional cost to them) which was a bit inconvenient when my husband and I were going in different directions. But they suggested we leave the key at the front desk so that whichever of us needed access to the room next could go there to retrieve the key. That worked. All in all a good experience.

very horrible very dirty no blower the towel the color is dark but its white the bathroom dirty andthe noise very horrible because they something renovating upstairs with out informing the customer i cant sleep worse hotel ever

Big and clean pool; decent food; good location

The bathroom window wouldn't close, making it noisy throughout the night. The showerhead was faulty, and the hot water pressure was poor. The furniture probably needs some repairs as well.

The room felt dated, and the water boiler was quite noisy, especially at night. The doors also have poor sound insulation, so footsteps and conversations from the corridor are clearly audible.

Thank you for our wonderful 4 night stay. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and great breakfast. The only negative side is no kettle in the room and they charged us for 2 cups of boiling water of 80 pesos. It’s a bit out of the way from the main town and attractions but that’s why we booked here. Thanks again

It was okay, nothing special but it got the job done.

Nice ,clean hotel , located 15 min from Langusta Beach, my room was good, air conditioner works, good Wi Fi, good bedding Excellent deep swimming pool, with plenty of beach beds Good simple buffet breakfast Stuff is supportive I would recommend this hotel

Decent hotel .

Not good

The room was old and musty, but the location was convenient and the price was affordable. It also had a free swimming pool.

They were supposed to be cleaning, but you couldn't really see it. It seemed like they were just making the bed. The location is excellent for getting around anywhere.

The hotel's pools are magnificent, with breathtaking views of the sea. It is well secured with checks at each entrance and exit. Very good stay.
