We recently stayed at the AC hotel for a long weekend and overall enjoyed ourselves. We were in a room with two twin beds and the pros and cons are listed below: Pros: - Get the breakfast, it's worth the convenience. - The hotel is more or less connected to a mall with a food court and grocery store (Continente) at the bottom which makes access to food very easy - The staff were very helpful in what they could control Cons: - If you get a twin room, as of 26 June, there is construction scaffolding all along that entire side of the building so don't expect much of any sort of view for what there is to see. The hotel is outside of a major highway so there isn't much to look at in the first place. I wish we would've been told about this during checkin and we could've decided if we wanted to keep our type of room or book elsewhere - Other than the mall, there isn't much around the area to see at all. Pretty much all of the major attractions and activities for Porto are located to the south 20 minutes away. Do not stay if you're looking to walk everywhere. - The twin room is extremely small. The beds are less than 5 inches apart and might as well be one bed. - The only storage is the closet and that is limited. Your luggage will likely be in the way, pack light. - The placement of the outlets are strange, one over the mini refrigerator where you can purchase the small snacks or drinks, one underneath the TV on the far side of the room and one next to the bed. For two people it makes it a bit awkward and limiting. - The bathroom door isn't a door at all. There is no latch and has a gap in between all sides. It's essentially a frosted glass swinging door that goes both ways. That being said, there is no real privacy and you can hear and smell everything that goes through that "door". Pack a spray. Overall not a bad stay but for the Porto experience and convenience I would book elsewhere.
