Christ's College Cambridge

You can get to this college from Cambridge train station by bus, followed by a short walk. Check-in is at the main entrance, and there's a free water dispenser nearby for still water, no sparkling. The room I stayed in was quite a long walk from the entrance. The room size was decent, but it lacked ventilation and the facilities were old. A double bed for two people felt a bit cramped, and the bedding was also a bit worn. If you have a large suitcase, you'll have to carry it up to the first floor. Breakfast was a standard English breakfast, and the dining area was quite small. Mainly stayed for a quick overnight stop, and it was relatively cheap if booked in advance.

Honestly, I don't even know where to start complaining. The shampoo in the hotel room was clearly left by previous guests, partially used, and never replaced. The toilet paper ran out on the second day and was never refilled. The floors, with hair all over them, and the bathroom were never cleaned; they only emptied the trash. The bed was uncomfortable. The towels were never changed; even when placed in the designated spot, they weren't replaced for five days. There's no elevator, which made carrying luggage very tiring. And the shared bathroom and toilet were not clean.

It was quite affordable, a transition hotel for my Cambridge summer school! The room facilities were basic, and it had a shared bathroom! It's pretty close to Cambridge!

It was a bit tricky but fun to find our way from the front desk to the room. We stayed in the attic room which was very spacious. The staff, from the front desk to the restaurant, were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall, the value for money at this place was excellent; you get to experience campus life and it's definitely on par with a regular hotel.

This was our fourth stop in the UK, and by far the most comfortable stay. The hotel is located within Cambridge University, similar to a second-tier college campus in China. The environment is absolutely breathtaking, making one wonder how lucky the students living there must be. The staff were very friendly, and the facilities were spotless. There was daily light housekeeping. Although sharing a bathroom was a bit inconvenient, it was always very clean and smelled fresh. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.
