Located 200 metres from Caleta de Fuste Beach and commercial centre of Fuerteventura, Castillo Playa offers an outdoor pool with a poolside bar and sun loungers. Set in a tranquil location, the bungalows feature a private terrace. The one-bedroom bungalows at Castillo Playa are decorated with tiled floors and pine furniture. They include a lounge with a TV, a safe, a kitchenette and a private bathroom. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Castillo Playa offers a children’s play area, as well as a children’s pool. There is also a sauna, a gym and laundry facilities. Fuerteventura Golf Club is 3 km from the complex, and Fuerteventura Airport is just 7 km away. Many bars and restaurants can be found nearby.

4 /5 because of the rooms stinking of stale smoke, where people smoke in the room , ( reminds me of old pubs used to smell) , we didn’t complain as I’d asked for a ground floor room and new the hotel was fully booked so dealt with it myself , used Fe breeze spray on the curtains and scented candles in the main room and bedroom. Otherwise the room was ample for our stay, everything you would need in a self catering apartment. The shower curtain is a law unto itself, just don’t move around too fast , lol I’d go back again for January for sure , it’s a shame they don’t do breakfast, The hotel is close to shops and restaurants and the sea, where you can go for a lovely walk along the sea front, In January it’s taken over by the over 50’s brigade ,,, lol The recycling bins need to be bigger ,,, you have 3 , one big one under sink for general waste two small for cardboard and plastic , ( should be same size ) The outside was kept clean and tidy as is the area, We had a thunder storm while there and got stranded in our rooms for a few hours, till the cleaners showed up with there brush n pans,, It’s a shame you can’t get Wi-Fi in your rooms , but lest there’s English telly to watch , The pool area and bar was nice and bathing area, happy hour for drinks, the bar man was nice the woman not so nice , seems she can’t cope ,,, Over all it’s a gem and we will probably go again f we can’t find B&B in the area .

The hotel has not been renovated in a long time. It has an 80's look. One mattress was terrible; another fell short of ”enough.” The cost of stay, per night, was very cheap. I would only risk going back for the price. The food, without being remarkable. Satisfied.

We arrived as a family of three, myself, my step dad and my mum. We each had a one bedroom bungalow. The bungalows were clean, my bungalow had a few ants in the bathroom but to be honest it didn’t bother me, I just used some water to clear them away. The bungalows have aircon but you do have to pay €6 for this, and for the safe. The cleaner came four times whilst we were there and changed the towels three times for me, although I had an extra set anyway(as a solo occupant I still had 2 sets of towels) which was great for me! The bedroom has good clothing space and lots of storage and the sitting room / living room area was spacious. The bungalows have sun beds and a table and chairs for the patio area. The only slight problems we had was the ants, the locks on the doors were a little confusing to start with. I did tell reception that my door wasn’t locking from the outside and before I could get back to my apartment the maintenance man was already there. He showed me how to use the card and lock it and he was very helpful. As mentioned in other reviews the hotel is not gated, saying this there is a fence along the bottom of the complex and along the top of the complex, just not along the road that lays between the two sides of the complex. We didn’t have a problem with theft or feeling unsafe, however as there is a public road I would suggest paying for a safe like we did. We stayed by the pool for a few hours on our last day and didn’t have a problem finding sunbeds, the pool is clean and there is a lifeguard on duty. The pool bar seemed clean and staff seemed friendly (from what we saw). We didn’t eat at the hotel but had a few beers on our last day. The hotel is around a 5/10 minute walk slightly downhill to the town and main shops. You can walk to the beach from both angels leaving the hotel, one side leads towards the town and the main path to the beach, and the other leads you down the ‘side’ road to the beach, near the chipmunks. We had a lovely holiday and would stay in the hotel again.

Stayed in the Elba Lucia for a week All inclusive last minute break. Was concerned after booking and seeing some of the reviews however came with an open mind of a 3 star hotel. Have previously stayed in the Elba Sara (4 star) and Elba San Jorge (which is also 3 star like the Lucia). Rooms are clean, pretty much similar design to San Jorge. Cleaners everyday and towels change every other day. Pool area is nice with a pool bar serving all drinks and snacks. Food is limited in choice however you won't go hungry. I am particularly fussy and managed to eat every meal there. Mexican night was really good! Evening entertainment is pretty much what you expect and see in most hotels, some nights live singer other nights karaoke etc. Parts of the hotel could do with a lick of paint etc Pool is cold however most pools in the area are not heated. There's a good selection of bars, restaurants within 5 minutes walk of the hotel or a taxi into caleta is 4 euros. For the price we paid, we thought it was good value and we would come back.

The accommodation needs updating and needs TLC until they get round to it. It is very clean, staff are friendly and happy to help. where we had fridge and kettle need to have double plug, they was quick and gave me a extension lead to use both together. it a shame bar inside not opened as we had windy nights and we was sat pool bar with patio heaters on which i didnt do. Lovely that in your accommodation you are told about put your towels down around the pool, that they get removed if not being used so no blocking sunbeds. could do with some paperwork for you to keep on your visit on what time you choice for meals and also what time snacks available on the all inclusive. It a lovely touch that you get a towel for you to use at the pool i not been to hotel that gives you them.. Food is good for a 3star only thing would be a problem in higher season is only 1 toaster in dining room. I full enjoyed my stay here. I would stay here again.. YOU ALL SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELF XX I know people have put about road outside but the hotel can not be held responsible for this as it down to council..

Lovely hotel, exceptionally clean and the staff are lovely too, they even left a bottle of cava in our room on my birthday! The beds are the comfiest I have ever slept on in the whole of the Canaries. Entertainment is great as well, good to keep the kids amused. We will definitely be back here. WiFi is not great and there is no air conditioning in the rooms, a little tip is to open the bathroom and bedroom window, it allows the room to cool to a comfortable temperature. These are the only faults I could find in my time here, all the plus points certainly outway the not so good points, hence why we will definitely come back here.
