We were offered this holiday due to our original booking being cancelled ( Covid19) and this hotel is not a happy hotel. The staff are overworked and often overwhelmed, we only saw 7 staff members in the 10 days that we were there. The staff were friendly and helpful but there is no welcome pack in the room for information such as meals, WiFi etc and the staff are so busy, getting help is difficult. We booked half board, breakfast was always good but evening meals were hit and miss leaving us eating out more than in. Drinks have to be paid for with the meal, even water and don't touch the coffee machine as this is only permitted at breakfast. There is a fridge in the lobby with hand made sandwiches that you can purchase for lunch, do not be fooled into all inclusive as there is nothing, no ice cream for the kids etc. All inclusive means that you can get drunk, thats it. On the plus side, drinks are half the price of the surrounding bars should you want to get drunk. There is no tea, coffee facility unless you purchase it from the bar. The maid swaps the towels but leaves hand towels instead of the bath size. Again, all the signs of a tired hotel. When we arrived, I could have cried due to the difference in this hotel and our original booking with the price being very similar. I was gutted. The bathroom has no plugs on the chains, holes in the ceiling and the toilet water ran constantly, The flush mechanism broke. It was repaired but wouldn't flush properly. We didn't spend much time in our room due to the area being so beautiful and the people being so friendly. It is a German holiday resort but that wasn't an issue for us. However, we are a middle aged couple and this is for the younger people who want to stay out all night, hence a lot of noise. We were mis-sold this hotel as it has only the best images displayed. Do your research properly before you go to the Bella Mar. I am rating the hotel 1 star and the poor staff that work there a 5. The hotel is crap and there is little the staff can do to change it. The owners need to put there hand in their pockets, update it and employ more people to run it. Maria, we loved you ❤
