Madina Hostel

The room was on the 10th floor of a run-down apartment building with no signs outside, but you could use Google Maps for navigation. The elevator was old and you had to wait, but I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the hostel. Aside from a slight smell of recent renovations, it was very beautiful and new. The lounge had city views, and the location was great – a 10-minute walk from Old Ebola and a 30-minute taxi ride from New Ebola. The staff were friendly, provided excellent service, and spoke fluent English. The hostel offered laundry services (5 pounds per item with dryer), luggage storage, and water (5 pounds for small bottles, 10 pounds for large bottles). The downside was that the room was very noisy, like sleeping on the street. I recommend booking a twin room and sleeping on the bed furthest from the window… or wearing headphones, it was really, really noisy, but very pretty, haha. Overall, it was a very good value option!

Everyone is very nice. The location is good. It's a very relaxing place. I like it very much.

I booked a double room. It was early January, and the room was on the north side, so it was freezing cold. It was extremely cold at night, so I had to ask for two blankets and wear thick clothes to fall asleep.

The hotel has an excellent location and the breakfast is quite good.

I chose this hotel for my Cairo trip. The location is fantastic. The Wi-Fi was great and I enjoyed it. The breakfast, which included hummus and bread, was delicious. It was a great value for the price.

Not recommended. It's not comparable to a youth hostel. The front desk (or all the public areas) is a very cramped small room. It means that if you want to sit and rest for half an hour before check-in or after check-out, it's impossible, not to mention sitting in the public areas. I specifically booked a twin room, but when I got there, they said there were no twin beds, so two people could only squeeze into one bed. There was no compensation except sorry. Pros: Good location and easy to find
