There were many issues about the hostel but the main areas was that air con system in the room wasn't working properly. Luckily it wasn't warm so the open windows surficed. I came to tell reception twice and nothing was done. The bathrooms were unclean and unsanitary through the whole time I was there. The cleaners closed the area to be cleaned but I went in after it was open again and it looked exactly the same. So obviously the cleaners just weren't doing a good job of cleaning the area properly. There was so much dirt and filth in the floors, sink basins and showers that it made me feel sick. And this isn't a dramatisation. The kitchen was too small with too many people trying to cook at one time that this will become a safety hazard eventually. There weren't enough hooks to hang bags and mine I usually had to search half an hour before finding again as it had normally got pushed to the back. I did report these issues to reception and was told that the bathrooms are cleaned every day and a deep clean is carried out once a week, but I have little evidence of this. Overall, the customer care seems to be overlooked and, as a result, the hostel has become an unsafe and unsanitary environment. I hope it can change, but I highly doubt it as all they seem to care about is profit. I will never stay here again and have since moved hostels into a much better one.
