Park Regis Hotel Cairns

This hotel is in a great location, just about a ten-minute walk to the ferry terminal, and very close and convenient to other downtown restaurants and supermarkets. The hotel rooms and facilities are a bit old, but the hygiene is acceptable. The front desk operates until 8 PM daily. If you check in after 8 PM, they will send you a text message with a code to a safe deposit box where your key will be placed. The hotel doesn't offer special services, but if you're just looking for a place to stay without particular demands, its location is ideal.

The room was nice and well-equipped. Although there's no breakfast, there are plenty of restaurants nearby to meet your needs. The transportation is quite convenient, with an art museum, night market, and pier all in close proximity. On the first night, we checked in very late. Since there's no front desk, we contacted the staff, who met us at a nearby garage to give us the keys and help us check in. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance.

The location is fantastic! Walking everywhere was absolutely no problem, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. Naturally, the price is mid-to-high range for that convenience, but if you're staying for two nights or more, I'd definitely recommend it, considering how much easier it makes getting around during your trip. Just a heads-up for anyone reading this review: I actually wanted to drop off my luggage before joining a tour, so I contacted them beforehand via Trip.com's online chat. They told me the baggage storage hours were 8 AM to 8 PM. However, when I arrived on the day, I was told it was a holiday, and the hours were actually 9 AM to 6 PM, which honestly put me in a bit of a bind. That said, the staff were incredibly kind. They explained exactly how to check in and how to get into my room after the tour. When I arrived at my room, my luggage was already there. I'm not sure if that's standard practice, but I was really touched by their thoughtfulness.

Very old and dated hotel, you use a physical key to open the door, and the bedding is just a single sheet—though you can use a blanket if you get cold. On the plus side, the hotel has a complete set of microwave and tableware, making it very convenient for whipping up a simple cup of instant noodles.

The room was fantastic, and having laundry and cooking facilities made things super convenient. They had all the kitchenware, pots, and pans you could ever need, making it perfect for an extended stay. The front desk staff downstairs were also incredibly welcoming and helpful.

The room is spacious with a kitchen and laundry facilities. The location is also great. Highly recommend it!
