We stayed Friday night.The room was fine- very clean. Had a lovely meal in the Indian restaurant- the staff were very friendly and the food was great.
Nice cocktail in the Waterside afterwards.
Reception staff were helpful and polite- particularly the night staff.
Breakfast was plentiful- coffee machine was playing up.
Only complaint would be of other guests not waiting to be seated and complaining of lack of croissants!!!
We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again.

Having stayed here previously in April with no issues, I thought I would return on my own. The receptionist Matt has been a star, there was an issues with my bathroom, called through to Matt, he offered an upgrade, no hesitations, ordered room service, food arrived hot, very well presented and delicious. The scenery is lovely, admittedly the rooms are a bit dated, but I only needed a room to stay for the night, staff are friendly and approachable, bed is comfy, what more do you need

My husband and I were married at Lion Quays a few days ago. The day was just as magical and stress free as we had hoped for thanks to the fantastic wedding team and more specifically our coordinator, Jess and our Master of ceremonies, Charlotte. Even former colleague Jennie deserves a mention. They expertly realized all our plans and I can honestly say there were no hitches whatsoever. All the staff at Lion Quays deserve praise. There was not one grumpy face in sight during our whole stay. Many of our guests stayed at least one night and I think all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. You went beyond our expectations! Thankyou.

We had a lovely stay at Lion Quay hotel this weekend. Check in process was easy and they gave us a double room on the ground floor that had a terrace out overlooking the canal which was lovely. We really enjoyed watching the barges and canal walkers/runners going by. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was a good standard. I think overall the place was 4/5, a little tired in places but still a nice stay. Staff were all friendly. The breakfast in the morning, which is at the waterside restaurant, was very good and was included in our room rate when we booked via *******. I did email the hotel ahead of our stay to see if there was any way to make it extra special as I was travelling with my partner but they were unresponsive which is a shame. The hotel does have spa and gym facilities available but our day was busy and we weren’t there long enough to make use of these.

We can not thank the Lion Quays more for what they did for us to make our Wedding Day so perfect! From all the planning meetings running up to our big day to the big day itself. Everything was what we dreamed of and more! A massive thank you to Sophie Foulkes, Jessica Bruce and Charlotte Conlan. Without them, our day wouldn’t have happened!

We had our wedding here on the 3rd August 2024. There is not one single thing we could fault. From the prep with Jess who took over a little bit before our wedding she was amazing! The food throughout the whole day was excellent. Advise getting the BBQ for your evening food it was delicious too!. The bridal suite was incredible too and the breakfast in the morning was spot on! Perfect day for us and a huge huge huge thank you to Charlotte she made our day seamless, every single detail she thought of and whatever was needed was dealt with straight away. SHE IS AMAZING. Thank you so so much to all the staff for making our day so special and magical you are all amazing.

Fantastic spa with loads of different things to do although not everything was working which was a little disappointing. The room was in a fantastic location and I highly recommend getting one with a terrace to overlook the canal. Attention to detail needed though as our room had not been finished to the same standard as our neighbours, e.g. no prosecco glasses or milk. Great to have the opportunity to go walking along the canal which is literally on the doorstep. Food in the restaurant was great and normal!!! You could go posh if you wanted but they still catered for people like us with gammon, fish and chips etc. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of options. Service was great. We will definitely be returning.
