Chaparral Motor Inn

We rolled in late for a few hours of sleep before hitting the road early the next morning. I think the front desk person greeting us was the friendlies front desk staff I've ever encountered late at night and especially for a motel-style stay. The bed was comfortable, but we left before breakfast time so not able to review it. The walkways around the motels may not be shoveled, so be careful in slick conditions. We will definitely stay again if we need a quick place to crash during a long road trip.

Clean and quiet place for affordable price. One of the best motel i ever stayed and staff was very friendly and polite.

Generally average motel. They updated some amenities and put some work into updating elements of the property. Breakfast is generally waffles and cereal, as the yogurt and juice machines were non functional. Rooms did not have a microwave. Motel is right next to the Safeway which is very convenient for groceries.

Do not look at the ratings on *******. This is an old motel and showing its age. I stayed there 12/16 for one night after a 950 mile drive. Not looking for fancy, but figured with the ratings, it would be comfortable. I made the reservation based on the 8.8/10 ******* ratings. There is no way that these ratings were made by anyone who stayed in my room (218). In fact I am guessing that the ratings were stacked by the owners. The bed was horrible, hard as a rock. The pillows were like they were run over by a steam roller. Flat as a board and uncomfortable. There was a stain on the bed cover. The bathroom was held together by caulk. The tile grout was either missing or black. The shower faucet handles leaked everywhere. I had reserved a single queen room. I was given a two bed room. Not a big deal, but I was not told. There was a menu at the front desk. Name of the place was The Dish Room. I was hungry after a 950 mile drive so I asked the person behind the desk where this restaurant was. He had no idea. It was basically across the street. The TV was like it was hooked up to old rabbit ears. Blurry as could be. Only a couple of channels until I scanned to find more channels. More blurry channels. DO NOT believe the the ******* ratings. If I had known upfront that this was a maybe 5/10 place I could have made an informed decision. Since their ratings were so misleading, I am giving the Chaparral Motor Inn a 1. It was, however, fairly clean.

Great overnight stay after driving for 10 hours! Chose this place because of all the reviews and it was worth it. Gentlemen who checked me in was friendly and efficient. Room was comfortable. The shower leaked into bathroom floor, showerhead could use replaced but otherwise no complaints. Very convenient to interstate and parked right in front of room door.

Small motel off I70 on the way to Denver. It’s obvious that the owner spent quite a bit of money making improvements such as premium quality carpet, paint, new modern lighting fixtures with USB connectors and remodeled the bathrooms. Even though it’s close to the highway, it was very quiet at night. The shower had lots of water pressure and hot water. Not a lot of choices for dining, but we did find a Mexican restaurant downtown that was excellent. Don’t let the low rate scare you, this motel is a great value.

Amazing amazing staff. This place was everything I needed to stay in town for a couple weeks. The room was clean and roomy. The shower was amazing! The guy that owns it is incredible, he is very polite and will do anything to make sure you have what you need to enjoy your stay. I can not say enough about this place. I highly recommend this motel because you will not find another one like it.

Great little mid century modern Motor Hotel right off the interstate. For under $70.00 out the door you can’t beat it. The shower is H O T!!

This is one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It is conveniently located near restaurants and interstate.
