Hotel Vision Budapest by Continental Group

The hotel was very clean with a good array of facilities. The bar and restaurant area was lovely with great service. Rooms were modern and well appointed. Location was good with only a short walk to the main attractions. We would definitely recommend Hotel Vision to Budapest visitors.

Our stay started smoothly with an easy check-in and a comfortable room. Unfortunately, later that night we discovered that the bathroom basin was leaking badly, causing water to flow onto the floor. It became slippery and | nearly fell, which was a serious safety concern. We immediately contacted the front desk and someone came to inspect the issue quickly. However, we were simply told that there was "no contractor available tonight" and that we needed to move to another room.At almost 10pm, after we had already unpacked and settled in, this was extremely inconvenient. While staff offered to help move our luggage, realistically, most guests would not feel comfortable having others handle their personal belongings. We ended up repacking and moving everything ourselves late at night. What made this more disappointing was that we were told the replacement would be "the same room." It was not. We had specifically booked a room with a balcony, but the replacement room had no balcony at all. What frustrated me most was not the plumbing issue itself - problems can happen anywhere. It was the lack of empathy and service recovery. There was no sincere apology and no real effort to acknowledge the inconvenience caused. Thankfully, I booked through Trip.com. Although they could not fully resolve the issue, I appreciated their effort and professionalism. Ironically, I felt more care from the booking platform than from the hotel. For a hotel marketed as a 4-star property, this experience fell far below expectations. A leaking basin may be an accident - how guests are treated afterward is a choice.

Great location, beautiful hotel. Breakfast was nice. No crowds. Reccommend.
