We were staying at the Sofitel because of our tour company. After I tested positive for Covid, the tour company left us on our own. Thankfully, hotel management was very responsive (especially Herve Deniau, Executive Asst. Mgr., and Laurence Umulisa, Guest Relation & Duty Manager). They extended our stay without hesitation. Our room was more than adequate. The bed was very comfortable, and the amenities (robe, slippers, Nespresso, small refrigerator and fluffy towels) were excellent and appreciated. The location of the hotel is perfect. There is a park nearby, lots of restaurants (good selection for take out), and a grocery store. There was a pharmacy right out the front door of the hotel - Jourdanpharma. Covid tests were 29 euros - Michael and his staff were friendly and compassionate - great customer service. Once I tested negative, it was easy to get the required documentation to fly home. Given our circumstances, the hotel staff made our stay less stressful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Brussel
The hotel location is very good. Close to the train station and attractions, shopping is convenient. Although the rooms are not very large, they are comfortable and clean. The hotel reception staff was also very nice. Many family-run hotels in Italy use the Amigo Hotel as an attraction. In short, I will choose to stay next time I go to Brussels.

The hotel is located near the shopping street. Walking past the Ferris wheel is also 500 meters. It is surrounded by shops and restaurants. If you are not used to Western food, there is a Chinese restaurant in the vicinity of Confucius. However, it is a little far from the attraction, and it is very convenient to call and call uber. The room is large with two queen size beds. There is no need for an extra bed with children. When I placed the order, I didn't see any breakfast. It was added to the hotel. The charge is 28 euros, which is quite rich. The hotel has valet parking and you don't have to worry about parking.

Good location, you can buy near you There is a Chinese supermarket in the alley downstairs But the service really has to talk When I was in CHECKIN, I could n’t find our order for a long time. After a few people changed, I finally found it and asked us to take a deposit. I asked if the deposit was not reflected in the order. Impatiently said no We ordered breakfast, and when I went to the basement for breakfast, I was told that it was not included. CHECKOUT, collected local taxes, our 2 girls, called UBER, went to the airport, a few big bags, no one helped. . . .

The door is small and parking is available on the side of the road without charge. The room is not large, the middle of the bed is raised, and it feels like falling off the bed. The design of the bathroom in the picture below is incomprehensible. There is no water blocking, and the floor is easily wet. Breakfast is very good, with lots of fruits, macarons are particularly delicious ...

Despite the discreet entrance the Stanhope is definitely a luxury hotel as reflected by the prices but a few niggles let it down. No restaurant on the weekend was rather strange but not exceptional for Brussels in summer when the hotel is half empty. For that reason it's a shame that we were placed next door to another couple of night owls: not really the hotel's fault but the walls are not soundproof! Otherwise the bathroom is spacious and quite well equipped but not 5 star. Bedroom also spacious and very comfortable bed. Unfortunately the a/c was struggling to keep the room cool while it was 30c+. Lovely courtyard restaurant for a top quality breakfast served expediently. Gym was basic but acceptable, otherwise just a sauna. Overall I would still say it's a very nice hotel and walking distance to the main sights. I suspect it is dealing with business customers in the main.
