Very clean hotel, and friendly staff. My only complaint would be the road noise from I-81! The hotel is located directly by the interstate, so night time noise was very loud. Also, our room with 2 queen size beds was relatively small, especially the bathroom, in comparison with other Hampton Inns we've stayed at.

This hotel is under new ownership and the hotel has had a complete remodel and I would highly recommend it for the area. Also it is now a Quality Inn. We rented a suite and it was HUGE. It had 2 queen beds on one side and then a large living room with a couch, 2 living room chairs, 2 dining room tables with chairs, a sink and long countertop. There is plenty of space in this room if you have a large family to throw up and air mattress, but the couch also pulls out to another bed. Staff was very friendly every time I seen them. Breakfast was lacking but they are still doing little to-go bags with a granola bar, breakfast sandwich, water and a few mints.

Full kitchen, two fireplaces and screened in back porch round out the living spaces. Cabin is completely off-grid with fully functioning solar system which works rain or shine ( thanks to super large battery capacity) 6 guests Max. Individual and isolated camping sites available for small Rv's, Pop-up's, or tents. No site is in view of another. Seclusive and private, a perfect Get A Way !! Do not worry about becoming acclimated to the cabin and how it works, a complete and easy to follow guide book will be forwarded upon booking giving details regarding heating systems, functioning fireplaces (firewood included in rental price ) solar capabilities, bath and kitchen functionality ( both function as you'd expect a normal house with minor modifications). Most guests have a long list of activities - hiking, and lake access are really close - but tend to while-away their stay relaxing in the cabin and taking walks on my 11 acres.0The property is accessible via paved county road, and then long mountain driveway/private road. Awd / 4 wheel drive or hearty front wheel drive vehicle is recommended to access in wet weather. Recent work on mountain driveway/private road has greatly reduced the evidence of wear and tear , including the addition of drainage ditches and tones and tones of gravel !!I am always available to help.
