The location of the hotel was in a great location on the sea front. The bedroom was very nice with a sea view and air-conditioning and very clean. On arrival to the hotel the receptionist was asking guests to self check-in and some guests elderly were a little unsure what to do,I commented that a receptionist should be on the desk to help with the situation as she replied with this is the the way forward now in hotels I replied that I would not use premier inn again, she the receptionist said not a problem. Iam sure it will be a problem no guests no job. We came to check in the self check-in kept declining our reservation! However the young lady in the bar Nicole couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming and helpful. I've used premier inn many times but would say this was the worst check-in I've had.

This is our second visit this month because we found it suited us very well. Close to the beach and flat walks, parking and a new building. I am wary of air conditioning in Premier Inns due to very noisy and inefficient ones in the past but it was very welcome on both occasions this time although it would have been nice to be able to open a window sometimes. Self check inn can be a bit daunting but help was available even though it was very busy at three o’clock. Five pounds for 24 hours parking on the beachfront seems fine. Everything was spotlessly clean and efficient and both rooms, standard and premium were everything you would expect. The sea view is actually sideways but you can’t really argue with that description. The breakfast was the usual great value ‘all you can eat’ that sets you up for the day and the restaurant was nice and spacious to have room to enjoy your breakfast early in the day. The adjoining restaurant was the usual pub food with no complaints but never seemed to be very full considering its seafront position. My only complaint would be that the small outdoor area overlooking the sea was very uncared for and I’m sure that if it was made more attractive with access to the bar through the closed door it would definitely improve trade. We will definitely be staying again as it’s perfectly placed for us.

The location is very good, Clean and tidy room. Atmosphere good. Value for money well a bit above last year probably because of the soul weekender. All in all it was ok.

Good Location with plenty of fee paying parking. The room was good but the individual climate control did not work . Over ridden by the hotel system. You have to inform reception if you want your room cleaning. Dislike the policy where the onus is put on the guest for what should be a routine hotel service. No phone in room to contact reception. Reception rarely staffed so had to press a bell. Had to do this to get a toilet roll. A very poor hotel experience for a three day stay. Breakfast was in the adjoining restaurant. The first 2 days there was an adequate supply of cereal and fruit. The third day, both these provisions were very scant. I have never eaten in such a greasy restaurant. The whole place was covered in grease from the lamp shades to the tables and floor, The doors were full of fingerprints and the partitions were very sticky. The whole place was very dirty. Even the 3 year old child on the next table asked his dad why everything was so sticky There was an inadequate supply of staff to clear away and replace things. A disgrace of a place. The staff seemed very stressed with too much to do. A very poor hotel experience. Stay somewhere else if you can. We paid less at the Crowne Plaza in Harrogate and had a much better hotel experience. The staff were helpful and polite.

Loved the location 2 mins from the beach. Rooms clean with all the facilities you’d expect from a quality premier inn. Staff brilliant. Couldn’t do enough for me especially Hannah and Sam. Can’t wait till I visit again

On the plus side, the double bed was comfy, the shower was lovely and it was quiet at night. On the downside, there was litter under the bed when we arrived, the fourth bed (family room) was so uncomfortable we called it the punishment bed. Eating in the attached restaurant was awful due to a lack of staff. We waited over two hours for our evening meal and refilling ant breakfast was very slow. Apparently it is closing down. After that we ate in the nearby Wetherspoon - nice food, fast service and half the price.

The best bit about this hotel was the bed, it was super comfy and the bedding was pristine. Some parts of the hotel look tired but the rooms were clean and the bathrooms have been refurbished. As a solo traveller I felt safe within the hotel and there’s lots of parking (costing £5.50 for 24 hours). Views of the sea are lovely to wake up to and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Premier Inn breakfasts offer customers a range of different choices to meet all dietary requirements. My room was large with a kingsize bed and a desk area where I could work.
