The down Inn

We enjoyed our stay here, the Hotel rooms were spotless , tea & coffee plenty in the room , bed comfortable also, quite at night . The views are stunning, Breakfast was lovely & plenty along with excellent service, we will be staying again Thankyou

My wife and I have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Down Inn and in the new room ( Suite?). Fabulous and comfortable room with excellent views. We enjoyed dinner there on both nights; lovely food! We've stayed at the Down Inn many times and Steve and the team provide excellent and friendly service every visit! Great value for money; wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else when we come down from Yorkshire!

After a Mystery Tour trip with Kings Norton Coaches, we stopped off for a lovely carvery lunch at the Down Inn. Lovely friendly staff, great food, huge plates and portions. Thank you.

I felt compelled to write a review. We had the most fabulous Sunday roast. The staff were so friendly and working so hard. The service was impeccable and everyone seemed happy to be there. The food was sublime, from the peas to the beef to the desserts.

Easy parking in two car parks, larger one at the rear with direct access to the bedrooms. (steps). My room was larger than average at this price point. Clean with a plentiful supply of plug sockets. Comfortable bed. Powerful shower over the bath although the toilet flush does require a certain knack to get it going. Good food, breakfast and evening meals. The staff were wonderful and helpful with always a smile. 😁

Staff, location, room, food all excellent. Old building with some creaky floor areas- as one would expect!!

Pros - quick and friendly check in, big room and comfy bed, great tea tray, lots of parking Cons - noise from pub below easily heard in room.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Down Inn. The staff were friendly, our room was comfortable and clean, and parking was easy. There was a good choice of food on the breakfast menu and the cooked dishes were well cooked. If anything there was a bit too much food, but that's a personal preference. We appreciated the fact that there were a selection of cold options (such as cereals and yoghurts), continental (croissants) and a number of different cooked options. We ate in the restaurant one evening and there was a good pub style menu available. Our bed was comfortable and we slept well with no disturbances from outside. The location was good as the inn is on a relatively quiet country road but with easy access to Bridgnorth (10 minutes max) where there is a good choice of restaurants. We would stay here again and would recommend to others.

The room was lovely, it was spacious and very clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely and lots to choose from and all cooked to order, we also ate there in the evenings and again the food was brilliant., there was plenty of choice. They have a big car park at the rear of the property so parking was not a problem. We would definitely stay there again
