Good hotel. Perfectly located within walking distance of the station and 100m from the center. Very spacious room, clean, with a good layout and a nice shower. 1 downside is the bed. Of course a personal opinion, but the bed was too soft and the pillow too small.

Great location in Breda, so you can reach the city center in 3 minutes. Solid rooms. We hired a bike through the hotel for €12.50 per day per person.

I was here for a work trip in October 2023. The building was easy to find, rooms clean, and staff very friendly and helpful. I even had a little balcony to enjoy that overlooked the street below. They will comp you a free drink each night you stay IF you hang the pair of green wooden clogs (provided in the room) on the door each morning. The green clogs signal that you don't want/need housekeeping. The hotel is close to shopping, restaurants, etc, but a bit of a drive from the train station (grab a taxi for around $10 euros). Breakfast is good, but pricey. However, with the way everything is priced now, I think you'll look to pay that regardless of where you go. Overall a pleasant stay, indeed. I will look to stay here again in December for another work trip.

I stayed in the Golden Tulip, Breda for 4 nights in August 23. I cannot fault any aspect of the experience. Room was spacious and comfortable with all the facilities you'd expect plus some you wouldn't eg I got the Scottish Gaelic TV station! Breakfast was lovely with a nice wide choice of items. Crucially, all the staff I dealt with were extremely personable endlessly patient and very helpful. I'd stayed there for 4 nights back in the summer of 2008, and remember that the staff then were exceptional as well. Not sure whether it's down to inspired recruitment or excellent training, but whatever it is it works. Would recommend staying there to anybody

Booked a last minute stay for 2 nights, upon arrival as we were early I went to reception to ask for directions to the parking, the young lady did give them i repeated what she said and off I go drive around and around with no joy, go back to the hotel to ask again same young lady with attitude explains again but this time she does say it’s underground below the ****** ( like I’m meant to be psychic) and not at the back of the hotel as she’d previously stated. When we were able to check in her attitude hadn’t changed and felt we were an inconvenience and she didn’t want to be there! The room allocated didn’t a bath I kindly advised I’d booked one with a bath, this again put her out! Checked out this morning with a lovely lady in reception and politely advised her to check the bed as I have what appear to be bed bug bites:(

Room very cold and the surfaces covered in dust. (Pictures attached where I literally ran my fingers then my palm through the dust) Remote control for the TV didn’t work. No bar staff on when we went into the bar at 5pm on a weekday, and no food served on a Sunday evening.
