Marriott's Mountain Valley Lodge at Breckenridge

Fantastic stay at the Marriott in Breckenridge. Pleasantly surprised to find a full kitchen with an oven and full size refrigerator nicely stocked with dishes, pots, etc. The service was friendly and Angela at the desk took extra time to help me to keep my provisions cold while my room was being prepared and answered every question with a smile. The room was nicely appointed with a comfortable bed. I did not use the workout room or pool but glad they were there for a future stay. Great free underground parking and a lounge where I was able to get work done well after checkout. Well deserving of more than 4 stars!

Stayed here for a week with family for a ski trip. hotel is wonderful!! we rented skis from Charter sports which is located right in the hotel. Very convenient. ski in ski out, front desk very helpful, will stay here again! room 7125 easy access to slopes. the full kitchen is a great bonus! highly recommend.

The jaccuzzi is more crowded each year. Requested help to light a grill, only to wait for over 30 minutes, with of course no help. When confronted, I was told it wasn't operated by Marriott. However, I purchased my time share from Marriott. Service is going down the drain. Poor investment, getting worse every year.

Excellent location, only a five minute walk from the Quiksilver lift. Facilities are very good esp the hot tubs and swimming pool which are well maintained. Rod was an excellent guide on the hike and a host throughout out stay. Complimentary treats every afternoon were lovely esp the popcorn. Front door helpful and courteous. Studio was a good size and the sofa comfortable - which is rare. Kitchenette was well stocked. This was the first time we had stayed at a vacation club (as a non owner); its not a hotel so don’t expect the same service (eg you take your bags to your room, housekeeping was every two days (and not done very well). Nevertheless, it’s highly recommended.

Starting with the positives, the front desk customer service was outstanding! Camilla, Elizabeth, Lauryn and Kyle were very nice and offered a lot of help when I was looking for a room with a good view of the mountains (we were given 3 rooms only the last one had a decent view). Our room, a 1 br villa, was large enough for 6 people with 2 pullout couches, and was huge for 2 people, which was fine by me. Facility was clean and safe, and has a great location, perfect for dining and shopping and hiking. What I wasn't impressed by was that it was difficult to get a room with a view of anything other than the buildings in front of us. The lower floors that we saw had terrible views (4th floor was pretty good but not fantastic), and I was disappointed by that. Also, if housekeeping staff would have come in once or twice during the week to remove trash/recycling that would have been nice. Of course, we could have called to request that, or take it out ourselves, but I'd appreciate not having to do that. This facility was rated "5 star Elite" by Interval International, and really doesn't come close to that description. All in all, a good place stay if you know what to expect before you get there. Customer service rates a 5, rooms rate a 3.5 for me due to the views.

I am a Marriott Vacation Club owner and this was my first time staying at this property. I usually stay at the Hyatt Residence next door. Mountain Valley Lodge is now my preferred choice to stay in Breckenridge. Front desk was super helpful, allowing me to park and ski on the morning of check in even though my room wasn't ready. Parking was always available and was able to park very close toy building. Hot tub and pool were great. They actually work (some of the hot tubs weren't working when I stayed at Hyatt.) I didn't get to try the other activities but was happy to see there were options. Being next to Quicksilver chair is a nice plus. The ski valet is fine but felt Hyatt had a better system. The only thing I missed was a fireplace. I look forward to returning soon.

We are Marriott Vacation Club Owners and have been to Breckenridge on numerous occasions for skiing. It is in an excellent location - a quick walk uphill to a ski lift and a direct ski in to the resort. The one bedroom units are very spacious with 2 bathrooms and 2 pull out couches so can easily accommodate a family. The kitchens are well equipped for 6. The unit was super clean when we arrived and housekeeping did a very thorough midweek clean. The studio units here are exceptional and include a full kitchen which is rare for studios. The staff are great - putting on a breakfast every day in the lounge ($8 - with a daily rotation of 3 different breakfasts) and a social apres-ski snack. They have a variety of activities to keep non-skiers occupied. There are 4 small hot tubs which can get busy as they share these with the near by Hyatt. Breckenridge is our favorite ski town as it has retained the charm of its historic past. There are wonderful restaurants; many are pricey so being able to use the kitchen is a great advantage. We have already booked to return next year.

Have had the worst experience and still am!😭😡 I booked through ***********. I payed for the stay while making the booking at ***********. We even verified at checkout that I had already payed. THEY STILL CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE STAY. Now; 1.5 months later after 10 emails to customer service I still haven’t got the money back from the double-charge. I’m furious and disappointed. DON’T BOOK THIS AND DON’T USE *********** 😡
