For the second year in a row, the water park was shut down. There were no exterior lights set to turn on at dark. It was pitch black which is dangerous especially with stairs and elderly /children. We went to the desk twice to activate keys, one worked out of 4. Power was completely out at the complex for over 7 hours.
Around 10 PM one evening we noticed our thermostat was not working and it was continuing to pump heat out of the vents. I called the front desk and was told the maintenance man was gone for the day. I asked if we could get some batteries to see if that was the issue. The lady at the front desk said she didn’t know where the batteries were. I explained we had two children in the room and could not have the room stay at an 80°+ temperature overnight, and she needed to provide us some options. Finally after me not taking “no” for an answer, they sent someone to bring us batteries.
It’s very hard to believe that a resort, the size, caliber and cost does not have a maintenance person around the clock.
