Comfort Inn Bourbonnais Near I-57
4/5100 Reviews
I made several changes to my reservation prior to arrival and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We had a total of 5 rooms booked for friends from out of state because due to COVID travel to and from Chicago is restricted. I arrived a night before everyone else. I've been staying at this hotel for 6 yrs  for the record. I spoke with a very friendly woman named Kelly when I needed to upgrade  my reservation. She was no less than fantastic and super friendly. I only regret I was unable to thank her in person. The rest of the staff FANTASTIC especially consider tourism is way down. My room was clean and very comfortable. The only downside was that my refrigerator wasn't working. They sent a tech and a specified time the next day and he discovered it was only unplugged. I assume since it was most likely out of use for 7 months of COVID. To tp op it all off they even granted all of his travelers an extra hour of checkout.  I was bummed that there was no hot food at the breakfast buffet but that's just the state of the industry now. The upside is that there are so many great places to eat within walking distance. I really cannot wait to return. Thanks to everyone at the Comfort Inn!
Fairfield Inn Kankakee Bourbonnais

Passing through Kankakee I spent one night at this older-style Fairfield Inn and it meant my expectations. Mobile check in was smooth and the lobby was decorated in Halloween style. Breakfast was the usual fare and I hope one of these Marriott updates it. Being a platinum member I'm getting tired of it. The shower head was tall enough for my 6'1” frame to get under and the water pressure was like a firehose. Perfect. The only nit I would pick is the office chair in room 104 is worn, ugly and should be replaced or recovered. I would stay here again.

Everyone was great but Ashley at the front desk was excellent. Was there lining up care for my mother in law (and she had no idea about the dementia or anything that was going on) and she and the entire staff were great. Can’t say enough good things about them. Thank you all!
Best Western Plus Bourbonnais Hotel Suites

The biggest thing I will say is to make sure you get the actual room that you had requested on your reservation. In my case I had requested a king suite for a room and had requested a walk-in shower. They made the assumption that I wanted a handicap room which I did not. So I told him I did not need a handicap room and they had given me a different room. When I walked into a room I realized that the room was a king standard and they had charged me the rate for the king suite. I had to go back down to the front desk and they changed me to the king suite that I had originally requested. Definitely was a little irritating having to switch things around. A couple of things I did not like about the room, is that the room had a little chill when the heater was not running and the heater was a little on the noisier side. I also do not like how close the bed was to the wall because it was pretty tight walking between the bed and the heater but less than a foot between the two. I ate dinner at the bar/restaurant and had the pot roast sandwich with the loaded french fries for dinner. The sandwich was very good and the fries were just OK. I will say if you like very greasy bacon for breakfast this is the place.
