So my wife booked us a cheap night away to get away from the kids after a hectic Christmas, You pay low you get low , but what this place offers is absolutely disgusting. A £50 deposit was taken on arrival which I paid by card, and we checked in with £12 car parking charge. That £12 is the best thing about this hell hole. We went towards the lift , called it and oh my lord its from that point we should have turn around and left. It's a squeeze for 2 people with one overnight bag , it's dirty and vandalised and you get the feeling you're not gona make it.. We got to the 3rd floor ☠ dirty and smelly is an understatement. Stained carpets and walls allaround. We got to our room opened the door and my life should have ended at that point. Basically all we could do was laugh, I don't even know how to explain how disgusting room 310 actually is, blood or s*** stained bed , dirty kettle, half a dozed tea bags in a takeaway container. A telephone that no person should EVER touch if not wearing a hazmat suit. I really can't go on, I said to my wife there is absolutely no way on earth I can spend anymore time in this place, After taking some photos I booked us in at a hotel just down the Road, On our way out I handed the key to the owner ( one of there policy's when ever you go out you hand the key in) , said we were going out as I wanted to keep the car parked there as £12 is cheap for Bournemouth. We spent a nice evening in the other hotel after a nice meal and some drinks. In the morning I went and got the car and that was it over.... Later in the day a phone call from the hotel saying we have failed to hand the key in so we will not get our 50 pound back, I explained to him I had handed him the key face to face as we left the building and was Basically called a liar and he did not get the key from me. Later another call saying he's been looking and he hasn't got it , after a heated discussion I put the phone down and thought oh well £50 is better than having every disease known yo man from this room. After reading other reviews from people this seems to be a common practice, but on a plus side the payment wasn't taken from my account. If I can offer one piece of advise, avoid at all costs.

Just returned from a lovely four night stay at the Hampton Inn after normally staying at the Hilton next door. Have to say the rooms here were much nicer, more comfortable with better air conditioning. All of the staff gave a really genuine warm welcome without the attitude that sadly Hilton Bournemouth had given us in the past. The real surprise was the breakfast in the morning, plentiful and catered for everyone’s tastes, waffles, omelettes, piping hot buffet breakfasts, lovely continental options, fresh fruit, cereals and gluten free options. Thank you for a great stay, can’t wait to return!

I've just come back from my sixth stay at this fantastic hotel. I can't speak more highly of it, which is why I always go back there. The staff are all amazing, always friendly, helpful & welcoming. From the reception team , the breakfast team and the team in the 1812 Bar, everyone does a great job. The new restaurant Oishii , which is part of the 1812 bar serves amazing food, I can't speak more highly of the team there, their service was incredible. The hotel is situated a short walk from the beach, the pier, the Oceanarium & the town, it's in a great location. There is also a car park which is also a bonus, though I think spaces are limited if the hotel is full. The rooms are very comfortable & well decorated. I love Bournemouth, which is why I go there every year, for me the Royal Exeter is the best place to stay, this year unfortunately, the weather wasn't as good as previous years. I've already booked for next year, I'm looking forward to going back. Once again, thank you to everyone at The Royal Exeter Hotel, you all do an amazing job.

The breakfast is good, there is a parking lot, and you can take extra beds with children. The hotel is extremely considerate and courteous to its customers. We arrived at the hotel from London Heathrow Airport very late on January 17th. The front desk guy with glasses welcomed us warmly and helped us carry our luggage to the room. We came to participate in a ballroom dancing competition. We originally booked a hotel for 4 days, but the teacher asked us to come 1 day earlier, and we later booked an additional day. After staying for 1 day, we had to change rooms for another 4 days due to room type issues. We didn’t want to deal with the big stuff, but a female manager, the lady leader, was very considerate and helped us move to the next door, which was very convenient. We booked a double bed, but it was new. The room is a single bed room. For our convenience, an extra bed was added. We are very grateful. And in the next few days, she came to ask if our stay was comfortable, she was very warm and thoughtful. I hope to stay in this hotel again when I come to participate in the UK OPEN competition in the future!

Best hotel I've stayed in across the UK. It's not meant to be a 5 star I know but I'm not sure how much more the staff would need to do to get the 5 stars. They've been very decent with me and my Mrs where other hotels would have been looking for reasons to moan and more and they manage to treat us properly whilst keeping all the other guests happy too. Couldn't be happier

We stay at the Hilton Bournemouth in September. We arrived at reception but there was no-one to help us unload the luggage from our car. I asked for the luggage trolley and when the reception realized that I was intent on using the trolley for my luggage, they immediately helped out. We booked a King Guest room, but we were upgraded to a King One Bedroom Suite with sea view. Reception took our luggage up to our room which was a nice touch. The room itself was very nice - there was a balcony with lovely sea views, a toilet, a large bathroom (with shower, toilet and bathtub) seating area and dining area. We stayed in a suite before (one the first floor), but this was much better. We had use of the small Executive Lounge which was nice because we could get soft drinks and coffee anytime. There is a happy hour 6-8pm serving wine, beer and snacks. I was impressed by the cheeseboard laid out every evening. Breakfasts were nice. There was a huge selection to choose from and they could cater to every need. The staff every morning was very welcoming, friendly and very accommodating. They were very nice people. My wife and mother-in-law had massages in the spa, and they loved them - very, very good service. I wish I had booked one myself. I only have some minor gripes; the minibar only contained two complimentary bottles of water. At night, we could hear the people in the room below us chatting. There was a strange pump sound coming from the bedroom door. These things are probably structural so there's no way of getting around them. Also, from our room we could hear the music from the nearby club, but it did not stop us from falling asleep. We bought our own drinks and the hotel barman was kind enough to give us glasses. I think the glassware could do with replacing because they looked very dull. Overall, another lovely stay at the hotel. The staff are very, very good - you can tell that they have been well trained. We look forward to our next stay at the hotel. It's a real gem. It's one of those hotels which makes so much sense.

Really nice hotel. Great location, lovely bed and room decor. Room was pretty noisy, as windows are in the car park and door is by lobby and lift, so lots of people at all times coming by. I didn’t ask to be moved as I was only there 2 nights and I’d already unpacked when I realised how bad the noise was. On the flip side, the room was really handy for popping in and out as near all hotel facilities. Staff were all very helpful and nice. Pool was excellent! I would definitely go back but would prefer a different room, on the sea view side.
