Mercure Bordeaux Centre Gare Atlantic

Hotel was in a great place for train station. Room size was big, bed was big and shower was spacious. Suoer clean and worked well for our stay.

Perfect hotel next to the train station. Was choosing between Mercure and Hotel 56 (even booked it first) and difference is grand. Mercure is so much better. Friendly stuff, good amenities. I also left some clothes in the room and they quickly found it and packed it for me. Recommended!

Everything satisfactory

The hotel is right across the road from the train station and tram/bus stops. I had a nice stay except for two things. First, the tap/shower water was too hot. A hotel staff showed me how to adjust the water temperature and said it was like this all in France. I of course disagree. I had stayed in two ibis hotels in Paris and Nantes just before checking in this Mercure. I had stayed in countless hotels throughout my 30 years of travels in Europe and had never encountered this "scalding water" issue. In any case, the solution was to let the water run an exceptionally long time till the very hot water ran out. Then I could adjust the temperature. I come from a place where people treasure fresh water and find this unacceptable. As the hotel take international guests, perhaps there should be notices/instructions in the bathroom on how to deal with this "scalding water" issue. Second, the coffee provided in the room was below expectation. A 4-star hotel should do better than that. I was glad about the kettle in the room, though.

Great hotel. Walking steps to main station. Beautiful city. Bathroom was excellent, only all tv chanells was all in french (no complain about it though). Arrived late night , the feont desk man was very polite, a true french person 😃.
