My third time going to Boracay, my first time was in Fairways & Bluewater Resorts, however it was too far, 2nd time we stayed in Villa De Oro, and for my third time, we stayed here at La Carmela. Our stay here at La Carmela was a clutch decision but a truly memorable one. We celebrated New Year's Eve 2022 at La Carmela. We stayed there for 9 nights. But I must say, some employees are not that dedicated and passionate with what they do, except for the security personnel who were all very accommodating. I myself, I am a front office agent, I can't even feel the sincerity with the service they provide. I was actually expecting a lot from La Carmela since Mr. Boy Abunda has always been promoting this resort during all his shows, in addition to that, so many celebrities and even influencers have stayed in La Carmela and seemed to like their services. But, to my dismay, all my expectation weren't met, unfortunately. Food is average, our daily breakfast was always served ice cold, pool is massive and beautiful, location is priceless since it's near the beach and just near to everything else where. I just wished they can step up their services including personal services to their guests, most especially that there are already a lot of hotels booming as their competitors. I know La Carmela has been there for countless years already, so why not make their legacy a good one. Overall, our room was okay, we waited for so long for our MUR, plus the ac in my mother's room is not functioning well. Would love to consider this hotel once more as it is perfect for budget travelers like me. stayed for 9 nights with my partner, mother, and my sister, and we only paid PHP 25k for everything including their plated breakfast. I hope you consider all the points I have mentioned, See you soon, La Carmela. :)

Very nice hotel. Convenient and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Great house keeping. The hotel offers huge amounts of swimming and its bar in the middle of the pool. It will have good opportunities to have a variety of drinks while swimming. However, I found some lack of providing amenities. I have booked a room for 3 people but there were not enough amenities. I have to ask every time to provide them. Found some ants in the bathroom. There is too much of a crowd while having breakfast. Not enough space for movement. In some cases, there is no hot water while getting in the shower. It's been fixed later. I found the iron board was not in workable condition and it was very hard to use it.

Went there for the Valentines day weekend. It was very enjoyable with friendly staff and the suite was clean and wonderful. Very quiet and within walking distance to White Beach and conveniently located near a 24 hour McDonalds and Subway which certainly came in handy when wanting to grab a quick bite to eat. They offered a complimentary free for one day breakfast voucher in their hotel, whuch was also very delicious. Its a bit of a ride to and from the ferry to get there but if you can get a package deal going to there and back certainly recommend it. Plan ahead with one of the local drivers so you have plenty of time to catch your plane as ours flew only once a day to and from Clark in Luzon. But very enjoyable, also wear a lot of sunscreen because its very easy to get sunburned in a short amount of time while having fun in the beautiful crystal clear water as we did. The air conditioning in the room was quite helpful and enjoyable esp after getting sunburned. Although the shower didn't have a door so expect the bathroom floor to get a bit wet easily. Plenty to watch on the cable television in the room as well, bed was a bit rickety sounding on one side but otherwise very comfortable. Easy access to the room with a keycard.

Booked and paid for 2 months in the presidential villa and invited 14 overnight guests between 2-7 days. My booking was from February 1 until March 31, 2021 and I moved out 10 days early without a refund. Pro: Spectacular location New facilities Friendly staff Con: The lady and the gentleman who remotely manage the resort from Manila and Cebu have zero experience how to build, maintain and run a resort. They hired people without any hospitality experience, the general manager was a former housekeeping manager. Result: My guests and my family had food poisoning because the kitchen was never properly cleaned nor was there anybody who checks the food or kitchen staff. The manager got drunk while my guests were here and he double booked my reserved villas. Some guest villas had no AC and service for my guests was so chaotic that I ended up taking care of everything myself, from organising to get the villas cleaned to making sure there was toilet paper in the bathrooms. In the restaurant, they served a cake and one of my guests found a bit of metal wire inside the cake where previously a candle was attached. He was afraid that he may have swallowed a piece of wire. We asked the staff where they buy their cakes and they said other guests brought a cake for a birthday party and this piece was a left over! Fortunately, my guest was fine and got lucky since he found the metal wire before he swallowed any. When I finally announced my departure, the lady and the gentleman from the board sent me threats. I think if the investors in the resort replaced the board and hired experienced hospitality management, this could be one of the most beautiful experiences in the Philippines. Warning: One of my guests is a construction engineer and made me and my guests aware that we must not enter the cliff terrace in front of the restaurant because it has a severe structural problem (walk on it and you will feel how it moves up and down). The board was aware of it and allowed any guests and groups to use it anyway, and even dance on it, which is extremely dangerous. I just came across a lot of old positive reviews - possibly from people who were invited to stay for free during the opening period - and I decided to leave my comments although it has been a while ago that I stayed there. People cannot see behind closed kitchen doors and I had full kitchen access during my entire stay, and it was definitely a health hazard to eat there. Until someone with restaurant experience cleans up and properly handles food, and until someone with hospitality experience manages the rest, this resort should be avoided. Hopefully, the people who invested in this resort check what's going on there and come to their senses. A few examples: The cheap wood used for construction is already rotten, therefore cliff walkways and villa roofs need to be renovated. Where do I begin? I saw this hotel in Agoda but decided to directly book via their website. I paid for the whole fee specified in the website, that is, good for 3 people, and 1 kid aged 12 years old. The room says ”sleeps 4”. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was told that we need to pay an additional fee of 800 per day (X 4 days = 3,200) coz my son, 12 years old, is already considered an adult. I insisted that in the website, it asked for the age of my son and I put in 12 (see pic) under the ”children” category. One staff ”explained” to me condescendingly, as if I dont know what I'm talking about, that the website is wrong and that they're gonna tell the one who takes care of the website to update information so and so. In fact, this guy, didn't apologize for the fact that their website information and rate and the front desk rate are INCONSISTENT. Instead, he said that extra charges are given (if applicable) when guests arrive at the hotel: ”we tell them here at the hotel”. Why would you do that? If indeed my son is not considered a kid anymore, why wasn't the extra charge added to the website when I was about to pay for the bill online? Why would they charge it when we are already at the hotel? For a planner like me, I like to pay all hotel charges and plane charges prior to the trip so that I can budget and reserve my money for the food and other activities during the vacay. But then, they wouldn't give the key to the room unless I pay the extra charges first. Oh well. Also, the internet wasnt working for two days. The room phone wasn't working. Location: Quiet. Convenient since theres a mall attached to the hotel. General Mgr was accommodating. IT staff was efficient; he immediately checked the wifi connection when he came back from his leave. Housekeeping staff efficient and helpful.

This is a good hotel, I had a good experience. Offered a room right by the pool and quite near the restaurant where the breakfast buffet is located. The buffet is catered to a Korean palette so keep that in mind if you don’t like Korean food or want more of a western style breakfast. Also at the restaurant on a windy evening and a toddler at the table the waiter gave us napkins in a glass. It fell over and broke and the staff demanded we pay 75 pesos for the glass! It would be common sense not to give us the glass due to the weather and the fact we have an active toddler. VERY SCAMMY ! Needless to say I felt scammed. BE CAREFUL! I complained to the front desk and made a suggestion not to offer glasses to tables with similar situations but they didn’t seem to care at all. But they definitely cared about those 75 pesos! There was a roach in my shower but staff quickly took care of it.

The whole stay made to perfection down to the last dot, lots of reasons to recommend Savoy to everyone, I'll try to make it short: (Do note that this is in a perspective of an introvert) Location: The hotel is situated in Newcoast Boracay, a few minutes away from the center, perfect for people that wants a bit of privacy and an access to a private beach which is accessible for guests on Hotels around Newcoast. Facilities: Aesthetically pleasing lobbies, gym access, swimming pools, amazing restaurant, and quipped restrooms. Mind you ALL places are clean, and has a great smell that's good on the nose. An available refresher on the reception area was a great idea, and y'all always have towels available to use for guests swimming in the pool. Just plain perfect! Room: We booked a Deluxe with 2 Single beds, everything was so clean! Working bidets, soft linens and pillows, a fast Wifi which is something I'd need if I will stay long while able to connect for work purposes. Working cold and hot shower, bidet, and has bathrobes and towels available! Again perfect! Transpo: Let me make this as a separate note as travel to Newcoast takes 20-30 mins, which is very far from Dmall, and expensive to rent an E-trike everytime we go around the island. Savoy's scheduled shuttle service was a great touch, specially to us who DIY'ed our way to Boracay. Our first day and we waited at Jollibee, hoping to be allowed to hop in on the bus even if were still about to check in. Kudos to Kuya driver that was more than happy to take us to the Hotel. (I didn't include the option van to the private beach cause we preferred to walk) Customer service: Now the last part and the crucial one at that, specially as a Supervisor working in a Customer service (Call Center), my expectations are high, and specific. I didn't expect y'all be working THAT hard. From the drivers, the front desk ladies who were very responsive and very welcomy and knowledgeable, those people working at the restaurant making every table spotless and preparing the meals, the guys that I believe is the life guard that oversees the pools, the securities around. Grabe kayo, I wish that all other hotel's follows the way y'all interact with your guests. out of 10, I'll give you guys 1000 for the rating. We wished we could stay longer, it feels amazing staying in Savoy, and we will definitely go back soon!

For the first two days of our stay it was okay tho the people who welcomed us were not comforting as other front desk crew are but they were still nice. Once you entered the lobby it was kinda dead place, you know there are people but they are like robots. It’s kinda dead place for me. The crew at Kuya J’s were fighting over personal agendas and it was in the morning. Imagine having your breakfast and hearing those personal fights of the crews, you haven’t started your day and that’s what you hear. Also the restaurant is also stinky. It gives you the vibes of the Estero in Binondo. No joke you’ll lose your appetite smelling the area and unfortunately you have no choice because that’s where your complimentary breakfast served. Lastly, we chose azalea because of the kitchen this is technically our kitchen but some of our family were staying at henann and other hotels. And since the food was in the place some of us are going in to eat. My niece and nephew ate in our room and since it was a bit late they stayed and decided to sleep at the room. However the following events are very inconsiderate on the Azalea crews. While we were resting the guard knocked to the door with a bit escalated emotion. He told me that the phone was not ringing the front fest were calling us it might be hung or whatsoever, so I checked the phone and it was in good place then I phoned the front desk and asked why. The crew told us that we were five in the room and we were only allowed just 3. I understand the situation but I explained what’s on our behalf I told him that they were just staying because we have food here and so forth. However he told me that I’m going to pay for the extra guests who were still a children (tho still another person) but again children so I told him just wait I’ll contact my family in other hotels where they were staying so I can send them off there. While it was hard to contact them since its in the middle of the night. So I phoned the front desk again and told him to give us a little more time because of the situation in the other hotel. But instead of understanding the situation he was like “ma’am okay but in 10 mins they should be downstairs or else we’ll charge them” uhm okay okay again I understand tho be considerate they were children I know the policy but I think it’s situational that can be understood. Its like yes you have a policy but at the same time you should be human first I guess. But it brings me back to what I felt in the first days. The place feels dead because of the people whose hearts like a robot. So never again. You booked a hotel not just for the luxury but the ambiance the vibe that you feel inside the hotel but its useless if people who are running the business doesn’t have a heart like a human. There are a lot of hotel and resorts that are same rate as they have like henann, Hue, Lime, Altabriza the prices are not far from here but you should pick them rather than here a place where there’s no heart like a parents, si

I like to commend robert and alfred from breakfast dinning area they are proactive in helping customers. For improvement, I would like to call the attention of Ms Joan in dining area. The approach she had for me is very uncomfortable and intimidating, same with the night guard , but the rest of the stay was amazing!

Cheap rate for a family of 5. Place is in good location in the middle of beach and the downtown. Staff are approachable. Room is nice, suggestion to have another water dispenser in every floor, WIFI connection medyo mahina and sana you have space for sampayan ng mga basa damit and also to have a direct contact number on the front desk. Recommended for a budgetary room accommodation. Thank you
