Very good hostel. Room was small, but clean and cozy. Clean toilets and showers. Very cool lounge on the roof with beautiful ocean view. Highly recommend!

ake Up! Bondi Beach is the perfect place to stay if you want to feel the real Bondi lifestyle. The location is unbeatable — right across from the beach, just a few steps to the sand, surf, coastal walk, cafés, and everything happening along the shoreline. Waking up to the sound of waves and watching sunrise from Bondi is something truly special. The hotel/hostel is clean, modern, and well-maintained. My room was comfortable, and even though the space is simple, it had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The common areas were bright and social, ideal for meeting new people, and the rooftop was my favourite spot — stunning ocean views, perfect for morning coffee or sunset chill. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always approachable. They gave great recommendations for food, activities, and transport, which made exploring Sydney much easier. I really appreciated the relaxed vibe — warm, casual, and welcoming. This place is perfect for travellers who enjoy beach life, surfing, fitness, or just want to experience Bondi like a local. Great location, great value, amazing atmosphere. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Wake Up! Bondi Beach to anyone visiting Sydney.

Bondi Beach is within walking distance. The staff was friendly when I checked in and friendly when I checked out. The room is about the average you would expect from a hostel, and there is a power outlet and a USB charging port, but the direction of the outlet is not good, so it may not work depending on the shape of the electrical outlet. That was me... However, there are two USB A type ports, so although it was not fast charging, I was able to charge my phone without any problems. As with any hostel, the experience of the room depends a lot on the personalities of the people sharing the room. In my case, I stayed in a mixed room for 6 people with 5 people when I checked in and 4 people on the second day, and I stayed with good people without any major inconveniences. The bathroom and shower are separated, and the shower is a bit small, but it was not too inconvenient, and the hot water came out well, which was nice. The hot water did not come out immediately after turning it on, but if it had been a while since I used it, I had to turn it on for about a minute and the hot water came out right away. The bathroom was clean and tidy with a toilet seat, so it was okay. It was a bit difficult for me, who has an extreme MBTI I tendency and is not good at English, but it was fun because it was a chance to talk to foreign friends even a little. I think people who are MBTI E or can speak English well will have a really fun time.

Clean and convenient transportation

Bondi Beach is right in front, so the ocean view from the accommodation was so pretty, and it was great to go out to the beach! And most of all, the staff were kind, so I felt good from the moment I checked in! The staff who looked like Ryan Gosling carried all of my luggage when checking in and out, and I was really grateful! It's Melbourne now, but it's a place I want to visit again while I'm in Australia.
