Meems Elliston B&B

It was funky. Kind of a throw back to commune life in the late sixties. Tea tree oil was overwhelming, bathroom was up some fairly steep, big stairs but the breakfast was spectacular--lots of fresh fruit, freshly baked muffins, stewed rhubarb, lovely plain yoghurt as well as the regular cereal or eggs, and the beds were warm and comfortable. Hosts were great.

One of the reasons we stayed here was that this place is quite close to the puffins. And they did not disappoint! Maila & Rashid were amazing hosts, providing a delicious large breakfast, also lots of ideas on what to see in the area, including Bonavista. My one small (only 4 star) thing was that the shower was quite small. The place was very clean and well looked after. I would definitely stay here again. But I hear they are selling so I have no idea what the new hosts will do.

Maila and Rashid were excellent hosts - friendly, inviting and happy to share with us places to see in Elliston and surroundings. Breakfast was delicious with homemade jams, quiche and fresh fruit. My daughter and I felt very lucky to come across this B and B.

The hosts and the B&B and the food were all great. The only issue with the location is lack of cell phone coverage but Wi-Fi is available everywhere. We would stay again for sure.

The owners are positively lovely and wonderful hosts. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay for a night when going through the Elliston/Bonnavista area The Meems is a good spot for just that. Delicious breakfast with a homemade baked goods and jams for a local flavour. Rooms are clean and with their own full bathroom. Would recommend to friends and family.

Interesting property, eclectic. Owners very sociable. Raj even called to ensure a local restaurant was open and even made reservations for us. Elliston is a great place to see the Puffins without going on a boat.

It was a quaint property. It was clean and very comfortable. The hosts were lovely, helpful, and welcoming. We had a lovely breakfast and we’re able to meet and talk with other guests.
