Bochum Hotels & Accommodations

Acora is quite big hotel some 10 minutes walk from Rathaus station. The location is on a busy street ( ask for a garden view if you want a rest ). We were accommodated on a highest floor (5th) which is likely additionally built and strangely it has staircase inside the room which are extremely narrow. Fairly the room was spacious and the hotel staff were polite. Some parts of the room looked worn out. My personal opinion is that it is not worth the money. Some very high rates considering what it is offered. Maybe Bochum doesn’t have enough hotel facilities so they skyrocket the accommodation prices. For me the rate of 130 Euro ( without breakfast) per night for a couple and a 10 year old kid is insanely high for this level of service. Would never come back.

Nice new hotel. Staff (and the dog) was great. Heating in the new building seems to be a problem. Breakfast was great, room also.

The b&b is a little outside the ”main mile” and is therefore quiet - very good. However, everything in the city center is very good to foot reach - for non-footmen*in there is a bus stop in front of the door. Everything appears quite new, it is also just being built. The rooms are very clean and for a hotel of this category generous and bright. There is a small lobby with jobs for PC and others. The staff is very friendly and helpful, However, the young man did not know anything at the reception with my registration form ;-) Some small disadvantages: Since I was there at the weekend and had enjoyed the night life in Bochum many evenings, it was very bald at breakfast time 9-10°°, there is no room for it in the small breakfast room, i.e. it was also in the lobby breakfast and the blows on the small but fine buffet were long, This may be different during the week ... In the hotel and in the rooms it was unfortunately quite cold, at an outdoor temperature of 18-20 C the air conditioning was very high or the heating was down and there were few corners in which it was not moved from the top, This is not necessary in spring and makes it uncomfortable.

Advance payment on Ctrip two months in advance. However, a sum of money was collected when CHECK OUT later, and I did not pay attention. Fortunately, I found out that I had reconciled the credit card. Otherwise, I would have paid twice in vain. At that time, the hotel directly posted the bill without reminding it or seeing it. It feels a bit dark!

The location is very good, opposite the train station, next to the hotel is the subway, walking along the road is Bochum city centre. The hotel staff are very polite and have the strict style of the Germans. The room facilities are properly arranged, but compared to the majority of hotels in the country, and although the buffet breakfast is dazzling, but as the Chinese said that they are not used to eating, it is better to go back to the room to eat biscuits and drink juice.

Nous nous rendons plusieurs fois par an dans cette région en famille pour rendre visite à des proches. Habitués des ibis styles français très bons rapports qualité/prix nous étions heureux d'avoir trouvé un hôtel de cette gamme à bochum. Nous avons été très déçus. L'hôtel se trouve juste à côté de la gare, il faut emprunter une ruelle étroite et mal entretenue, qui sert de local à poubelles, pour accéder au parking. Celui-ci est très petit (10 places grand max) dans un piteux état... Les fast foods à proximité s'en servent pour la pause cigarette ou comme local à poubelles. De nombreux pigeons y passent la nuit. Il faut donc choisir son emplacement avec stratégie... Cependant il ne coûte que 6€ par jour. L'accueil est sommaire, digne d'un hôtel de passage. Pas de boisson d'accueil comme nous avons l'habitude d'avoir dans tous les autres hôtels ibis styles... L'ascenseur est vieillissant... Les escaliers ressemblent davantage à des escaliers de secours (pas de déco, bruts, très sommaires). La première impression de notre chambre fut mauvaise... La poubelle de la salle de bains n'avait pas été vidée, l'aspirateur n'avait pas été passé sous les lits... Nous avions vue sur les quais de la gare. Cependant les lits étaient frais et propres. Nous avons pensé changer d'hôtel, mais ayant déjà réglé, nous sommes d'abord retournés à l'accueil. Heureusement le personnel est réactif. Au soir notre chambre était nettoyée. Nous sommes donc restés 2 nuits dans cet hôtel. Le petit déjeuner était correct. Covid oblige, il était servi à table. Le personnel passait régulièrement demander si nous avions besoin de quelque chose. Il y avait un petit coin jeu pour les enfants dans la salle de petit-déjeuner. Dans l'ensemble, l'hôtel est correct et peu cher (en comparaison avec d'autres hôtels déjà visites dans la région et tous les autres ibis styles déjà faits) mais seulement si la chambre a été nettoyée. Le personnel est serviable. L'hôtel aurait cependant besoin un bon coup de neuf (deco, peinture...)

Für gut 50 Euro für die Übernachtung mit Frühstück echt top. Nettes Personal, gutes Frühstück und ruhiges, sauberes Zimmer. Nur beim Weg vom Bahnhof zum Hotel fühle ich mich zu späterer Stunde nicht sicher.

I stayed here for 4 nights as part of a business trip. The check in process was smooth and the team were very welcoming. There were some gingerbread biscuits on offer throughout the day which was a nice treat. I had a room on the 2nd floor close to the fitness centre. The room was clean, modern and functional. The bathroom was spacious with a hair dryer and a plug for shavers / electric toothbrushes. The room was a bit cold and AC / Heating unit didn’t see to work as expected. I The downside was the shower with a half glass partition and a relatively flat floor, This meant that when showering, the water would run off into the bathroom. I had to use the towels provided to clean up after every shower. Breakfast was pleasant with a selection of warm and cold options, various bread and spread options. Juice, water and coffee was readily available. The staff in the restaurant were very good. There is a conference and business centre here located on the first floor. The hotel also offers parking onsite.

I'm sorry I forgot to throw away the garbage. It is clean and the facilities are good, but I am very worried. There's nothing else.
