Great hotel if you need to stay in the north.
Close to the sea, amazing sunset.
The hotel himself was clean, the staff was really nice. The restaurant was good too.

Small and cozy hotel, free parking, the front desk lady is very friendly, if you are lucky, you can see the aurora when you go out

This hotel on the coast has just been stylishly renovated in 2023. Friendly staff and comfortable well fitted out rooms, best value at this mid-range price on our tour around Iceland. The restaurant menu was fantastic. Recommended for any ring road travellers.

Avoid this hotel if possible. This is a very pricey bare bones room and was not what we expected. The restaurant was out of everything we asked for and the the hotel made an error and charged our credit card over $19,000 and didn’t tell us about it. My credit card was shut off for the remainder of the trip and they have not responded to my emails.

This small traditional hotel is located in the town of Blonduos just off route 1. A large river meets the sea at the end of a finger of land so the hotel has a lovely position. We opted for a standard room which was ok-not huge but with comfy beds and a decent shower room. I wasn’t expecting a sea view (costs more) but there was only a tiny corner window which made the room a bit claustrophobic. We ate dinner on our 1 night stay which we enjoyed-only a couple of options. Breakfast had all the usual offerings. Note there isn’t a lift if you can’t manage heavy luggage but the staff are v willing to assist.

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. The surroundings are quite pretty and good for a nice and easy walk. There are a couple of stores and coffee shop around too. The facilities were newly refurbish so everything was in fantastic conditions. Breakfast was good with homemade bread.
