One of the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Service, location, people, everything was perfect.

1. The guest rooms are old and the cloakroom has a very bad smell. The hotel puts incense to cover it up, which makes it even worse. Such guest rooms should not be sold, which damages the Mandarin Oriental brand. 2. The hotel's full-time restaurant dinner, the waiter hard sells the menu, which is very expensive, mainly not worth it, the impression is particularly bad, and the product is not good 👎 3. The lunch at the hotel's main building bar is of high standard and deserves praise

Wonderful experience at a beautiful hotel. We stayed here at the end of August 2024 for our 31st year anniversary and our friend's 30th anniversary. The only complaint is that we didn't book more days to stay here on our (3) week tour of France and Italy. We stayed at (4) different high end hotels on this trip and this was by far the best experience of them all. Our room was beautiful with a wonderful view of Lake Como. We enjoyed every minute of the pool which is actually right on the lake. The restaurants on property had good food and drinks and the breakfast was amazing (still dreaming of the French Toast). We would like to thank the management and the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

This property is truly unique. It manages to feel intimate while still incredibly expansive. As far as rooms, this was the most beautiful lake view grand suite I have experienced in years. Extremely expansive with two bathrooms, separate living room and dining room and two balconies with seating overlooking the lake. The food at the hotel from breakfast to their Michelin rated restaurant for dinner was the highlight food wise of our three week trip in Italy. As far as for the check in team, concierge and valet teams they were absolutely incredible. Going above and beyond in every interaction. This property has been on my bucket list for years and I honestly exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to come back!

Best service ever. Kind & helpful staff. Very accommodating staff especially the concierge entire team each one of them helped me with something I needed. Something to consider is the hotel is a resort hence your room may be a bit far which was not a problem for me. luxury by all means ❤️

Can you fantasize about a two hour early morning enjoyable flight from London, England to stylish, chic, sophisticated Milan, Italy? Well, for my daughter and I it was reality and more. In fact, this was just the beginning of our five-day holiday to Lake Como. After landing in Milan and spending a delightful afternoon over “perfect” cocktails, Italian snacks and a surprise 75th Birthday dessert for yours truly, we took time to enjoy photo shots, selfies along with people watching and sightseeing at the historic Duomo di Milano, known for its grandeur and beauty. We were then onward to glamorous Lake Como while enjoying a relaxing scenic drive through rolling countryside that softly curved and climbed mountainous roads surrounding picturesque Lake Como. Voila! the Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como! Magnifico, Grandioso, and Bellissimo! I happily said to my daughter, “We have arrived.” From the moment our kind and polite driver escorted us from the car to the hotel lobby which revealed a sense of modern Italian elegance with a subtle oriental charm, we were greeted by the warm and most friendly host who welcomed us with open arms. She graciously checked us in and then took us on a tour of the hidden sanctuary of calmness with natural historic beauty nestled on the sunny forest green shores of Lake Como. Our Deluxe room was decorated in a luxurious contemporary Italian style, with a comfortable terrace overlooking the hotel’s beautiful manicured garden and the blue-green deepness of Lake Como. I should note that most rooms, suites and penthouses had the exclusive view of Lake Como. From that day forward, my daughter and I felt like we were in heaven. From the delicious complimentary daily breakfast of our choice to the sunlight hours of leisure, cocktails, and swims at the resort’s unique floating pool on the lake to the holistic heat and aqua experiences at the Mandarin Oriental Spa, we were in complete vacation mode. However, we were never too relaxed to shower and pamper ourselves for scrumptious gourmet dining at the resort’s restaurants, including L’Aria, CO.MO. Bar & Bistrot and Nami Cafe. I should add that no Italian meal was complete without the connectivity and happiness that only a glass of Chianti, Pinot, Grigio, Prosecco or some unique Italian wine would provide. Salute! I would be remiss if I did not mention the marvelous, hard-working Concierge Desk of Luigi, Caesar, and Andrea. These gentlemen were so patient, informative and extremely kind to us. They provided my daughter and I with the most interesting “What to do in Como” tips and suggestions, as well as outstanding dinner reservations on and off site, I.e., nearby villages and the town of Como. Speaking of Como, Mandarin Oriental provided us prompt door-to-door shuttle service to and from Como where we shopped, enjoyed cocktails at an outside bar and were wined and dined at one of the best family restaurants ever. I fell in love with this place. Early in the morning you open your eyes and find yourself in a fabulous place. All your dreams are starting to come true. Time stops and you are immersed in a parallel world. This is one of the best places on our earth. This hotel makes the impossible possible.

My husband and I just returned from our vacation at Mandarin Como and I simply can not praise the staff and level of service received during our stay, it was perfection. We stayed at this property before the Mandarin acquired it and we were curious to see what changed. As it turns out, all the changes were for the better, and they have only improved upon the previous owners. There are of course other properties to consider on Como, but I can say with complete confidence that there is no better location than the Mandarin. Also it wasn't full of Americans the way some of the other hotels are, it was a sophisticated mix of clientele, and generally speaking, people were polite and kind, but you had plenty of privacy. Oh and the food was to die for, there are so many options and it was all fabulous. Happy booking, you wont regret it!

Our stay in Lago di Como was absolute perfection. This was our second stay at this property and cannot wait to go back. The property is stunning made better by the incredible views of the lake. The staff goes above and beyond for each and every guest making you feel at home. The spa services, restaurants and in room dining are wonderful.

A superbly managed and beautifully sited property in one of the loveliest locations in the world. The staff is exceptionally friendly (at times almost too much so, but staying just shy of the line of being overbearing). We were given an upgrade to a palatially sized suite. The only criticism I have is that the furniture is our suite seemed to have been designed for hobbits--it was all weirdly small scale and totally uncomfortable. It was frustrating not to have a comfortable place to sit in an otherwise lovely setting. This place is quite expensive, but I was sorry to check out.

Great hotel and overall good service. We enjoyed pretty much everything with the exception of the restaurant - L˜ARIA. Everything was very disappointing from the moment we entered the L˜ARIA restaurant: the welcome, service, coordination amongst the staff and most importantly the food. Should we never come back to this hotel, L˜ARIA restaurant will be the only reason “why”. It’s really a shame because the absolute 1st impression of the hotel was excellent.

A wonderful special weekend. I highly recommend if you are looking to stay in the best hotel in Lake Como. The rooms are stunning, overlooking the lake, spacious, attention to detail is flawless and the bed guarantees you a great nights sleep. The customer service is best in class, remembering you everytime you enter the bar or one of its fabulous restaurants. We were with a friend who loves martini's and he said it was the one he had ever had globally. Wine list is comprehensive and the food delicious. A visit must include the spa and swimming pool area, both the outdoor floating one but also the indoor one, which looks like it was built into the mountain with fabulous stone ceilings. There is a complimentary shuttle service into Como, needs to be reserved on the day, our driver was so knowledgable. This was our second stay, we are already planning to go back in October.!!
