The hotel is conveniently placed being served by a frequent tram service and across the road from a wide, clean beach. The studio rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-equipped.

I am back at this hotel after several years. It seems that a new director or a new head chef has arrived and we can see the difference. The cuisine is quality, varied and everything is fresh. The room and bathroom were very clean. The mattresses are of good quality.

I went there for a convention weekend in 2019. At that time, the meals were close to the canteen meals of the 1970s. It was a little greasy, the bananas were full of stains, ... Back for a new agreement in 2023, it seems that a new director or a new head chef has arrived and we can see the difference. It's very good, quality, varied and fresh. The room and bathroom were very clean. The beds are good.

It doesn't cost much and you don't get much for it. Furniture has seen its best days. Rooms are clean. Staff are downright friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is ok. Lunch is downright good. Corridors look like in a youth hostel. Wifi is good. Parking lot is spacious, but somewhat remote.

The building is huge with a cafeteria and restaurants but also an outdoor tennis court, football field, pétanque, squash, mini golf, children's games and even fitness exercise equipment. The rooms were renovated in 2012, it's clean, three people can sleep there thanks to a convertible sofa. Dogs are accepted for €20 per day, although on online questionnaires I have seen different amounts: €10 and €15! There are studios and rooms, for the apartments there is a kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Concerning this kitchenette, it should be noted that there is only a kettle, no coffee machine, as for cutlery and other kitchen utensils, there are really only the bare essentials. It is a shame that we cannot be informed before arriving of what is included or not, nor of the price for dogs. The towels are changed every day but again no explanation, it was through an email that I learned that the towels are changed on request at the price of 9.00e per day! But for my part, it's changed in the price, go figure... The area is quiet, there is only one main road to cross to find yourself on the dike and therefore quite quickly on the beach. Be careful, for people with reduced mobility or difficulty walking, it may be complicated to get to the beach. You will have to go to Blankenberg in this case. Ample free parking available. In short, it's a very good place to stay but it lacks more concrete explanations about the stay. Another positive point is that you can stay there like in a hotel, for a day or several without having to take Saturday to Saturday.

It seems as if you are visiting a CM holiday center from the 1970s or an OCMW retirement home from the same period. I had booked 2 days via booking and already sent them an email that night that I did not want to stay on the 2nd day. I felt the springs from the mattress all over my back. I think they bought these mattresses from the Belgian army when conscription was abolished in 1993. The bathroom seems to have been copied from a hospital bathroom, the doors on the cupboard were apparently too expensive, and replacing a broken tap was not necessary. An empty fridge, not even a bottle of water and according to the site a flat screen TV, which was slightly larger than my iPad. Asking for a new mattress in the morning was unsuccessful, we had a supposedly renovated studio, the doors bought from the demolition of the old chiro rooms. Still had to pay for 2 nights even though I already gave the key back in the morning. Room price was copied from the better hotels in Knokke, € 152, another € 10 tax and it turned out that there was no breakfast included, another € 35 for a worthless breakfast with bad coffee, worthless cold cuts and jam and chocolate of poor quality. All this in the form of a buffet with a bowl of dehydrated scrambled eggs without bacon and only cold hard-boiled eggs. All together for 1 night, so €197 for 2 people. A youth hostel at €30 is really better. On top of that, a brutal, rude receptionist who does not answer any questions. Please ignore this hotel if you are looking for a stay on the Belgian coast so that this beautiful piece of land in the dunes can be returned to nature by demolishing this worthless hotel.
