I know the check out time is 10 and we are late for 30 min, I am sorry for that but it doesn’t mean you can open the door from outside while we were still using that room!!! It’s so unacceptable and the way you yelling with us is so rude!!! you can charge more and I’m completely okay with that! Definitely not recommended !

Have been going to this hotel for over 10 years. There is new management. My disabled Mother was given Room seven on the third floor, I was given Room on the second floor when we booked, we asked for rooms and told that was fine. When we arrived, the room five was not available and was told if we had booked earlier we booked the year before we would’ve got it. My mother complained back pain checked under the bed and there was no support. The bed was broken and there was a wooden block nail to the base of the bed, but nothing under it, so no support one of the legs in the middle of the bed was broken. I had a young child with me. We were told kids friendly. My son is autistic. He only eat certain foods when we ask for sausage and toast we got one sausage No toast we had to take the full breakfast for the child The toast whether you were with 2 or 4 people you were given the same amount of toast, no extras The place has went downhill, no longer children, friendly and broken beds. I have been quite a few rooms of this hotel. All the beds have been changed to crapped out all dirty when I asked where the mattress was I was told that the person owner that run the hotel had not put mattress protectors on them, so they were all stained so he had to throw them out. I said every Room and he said yes. And this is the only beds we could afford the shower and number seven. my mother could not use it because it was to sliddy no Batman was provided so my mother never showed for a week. My was dirty

Great place to stay, stayed for one night, family of three. Rooms snug but spot on for what we wanted. Lovely clean rooms and breakfast was beautiful. Christine and Leon very welcoming and lovely. We will be back for the next dance comp in October so see you then! Ps Erin got 3 medals! 🥰

I stayed at the hotel for one night. I received a warm welcome it was like going home. Nothing is too much trouble, lovely and clean. Breakfast was a good time, not too much of a rush to get out of bed. Beds are comfy and bedrooms very clean. No hesitation in recommending this b and b.

The Marsden had some good points, but not enough to overcome the bad points. The room appeared clean but was very small and very dated, I felt like I had been transported back in time to the 1980's when I stayed in similar Blackpool B&B rooms many times. I was met on arrival by the male owner and I do wonder if it is his normal behaviour to describe guests as "old and crippled" (his exact words). By the way I am definitely not disabled, and even if I was I would never use the word he used as it is offensive to the disabled. Thankfully I did not see him again for the rest of the stay. The only visible sign of any money being spent to improve the b&b was the bar and lounge. The breakfast was the standard full English and was ok. The best thing about the Marsden is it's location close to the promenade and the Pleasure Beach. We visited Blackpool again in early October and stayed at the Danescourt on the next road. This was so much better with a much bigger and more modern room and a very good breakfast. I have also stayed in other Blackpool b&b's that are not stuck in the 80's. I'm not sure why the Marsden has so many good reviews, although I have now seen that there are others that mention how small the rooms are. I always check out the reviews before booking a b&b and this is the first time I have been disappointed and have to disagree with them. There are a lot worse b&b's in Blackpool, which is why I have given the Marsden an average rating, but there are also better Blackpool b&b's at a similar price.

The single room was small, but clean, the bed comfy and the breakfast very nice. I was visiting relatives and only staying one night, but what made it was that the owner Leon not only got my car out for me, because the parking area is very tight, but he also de-frosted the car and got it warm for me to drive away! I would and probably will be staying again.

Can’t comment on the hotel itself only the horrible owners. Visited a neighbouring apartment for 1 night, mistakingly parked in the Marsden hotel car park which is obviously a fault of my own- I wasn’t aware of this the full time I was here until I tried to leave. There were no signs up stating this was a privately owned car park or parking for residents only. My car was blocked in leaving me unable to exit the car park, when hotel staff were politely approached to ask if the car could be moved so I could exit the car park my friend was spoken to like complete dirt, absolutely shocking attitude from 2 grown adults towards a young woman, made to feel totally stupid for an easy mistake. The male was rude enough without the woman piping up with a rotten attitude, again against a young woman standing alone. Was not once asked to move my car, which I absolutely would have if asked, I would have had no issues at all with this. I was told I was taking up 2 spaces even though there are no lines to mark spaces. After checking the hotels website it clearly states ‘Free Public Parking is possible on site’ so no idea why I was told to pay £20 to be allowed to leave- not sure this is legal, were they planning on holding us in the car park if we refused to pay? Im sure holding someone against their will isn’t legal either, but I might be wrong! If they were so bothered about my car being parked there they should’ve phoned the police. The owners should be embarrassed, looking to argue with someone 20/30 years younger than them over a parking space.
