From the moment I arrived until I arrived until I left I was impressed with this fine hotel. Warm welcome from reception staff, well appointed and comfortable room, with every thing I needed and a very comfortable bed. Large screen tv, walk in shower, in room safe , iron and iron board and would you believe no fewer than 8 usb charging sockets, I can also recommend their signature restaurant Marcos, I had the best lasagne this side of Milan. The best thing though about this hotel is undoubtedly the staff whether restaurant, reception or housekeeping always friendly and polite . I have no difficulty recommending this hotel and I will certainly stay here again.
The Best Western Carlton Hotel is a fabulous place to stay in Blackpool, with a fantastic seafront location overlooking the beautiful Fylde coast. Getting to the beach is easy – just walk out the door and cross the road. As the hotel is situated on the slightly less hectic north promenade, you’re minutes from the center of Blackpool and its many attractions and can still enjoy peace and quiet.
Built at the turn of the century, the Best Western Carlton Hotel boasts panoramic scenery across the Irish Sea, as well as a front row view along 12 miles of sandy beaches and the famous Golden Mile. A leisurely stroll will take you to the town center and Winter Gardens, with the best that Blackpool has to offer within easy reach. The iconic Blackpool Tower is impossible to miss, and just a mile away and a little further to the south are the famous amusements of the Pleasure Beach. You’ll know you’re there when you hear the screams of thrill-seekers riding The Big One – the UK’s tallest and fastest rollercoaster. In between, you’ll find Seaworld®, Madame Tussaud’s and more seaside entertainment than you could possibly wish for.
On a practical level, the Best Western Carlton Hotel is just half a mile from Blackpool North station and is ideally located as a conference venue in Blackpool. If you do like to be beside the seaside, this is the hotel for you.

This majestic building is steeped in history which really adds to the enjoyment of a stay there. We had 3 nights B&B with friends and also dined in on one evening. Food was excellent but the real standouts were the friendly, helpful staff. Not only did they help with all our holiday stay requirements they shared the story and history of the hotel - which is almost 150 years old. For an old hotel the owners have done a great job in maintaining the building and it was a warm, comfortable setting for an autumn break. Highly recommended.

Nothing wrong with the hotel in general, but the PARKING IS £18 PER NIGHT!!!!! A TOTAL RIP-OFF!!
No-one told us the parking was going to cost that much! All it said on the Trip.com website was paid parking, which you don't expect to be £18 per night!!!!
Very disappointing and it spoiled our trip to Blackpool. Don't think we'll be back to this hotel!!

We went on a short break, staff were great. The room itself was fine though there was a broken light switch which we reported to reception. This was still to be changed when we left on the Monday(reported Saturday am). Bar prices were typical for a hotel and entertainment finished at 9pm on the Saturday as the singer was going to another hotel. That said we would go back again.

We booked this Hotel knowing that it would be far superior as a Hotel than any other in the main Blackpool ***** area, especially after staying at many hotels in Blackpool over the years that were that shocking shouldnt even be allowed to open. We also booked this Hotel as it claims to have parking available, although it would cost £17 per night, a small price to pay for safety of your car. So, first impressions, nice and presentable, fresh and new looking from the outside. Then comes the parking. Terrible, after driving around its 2 areas of parking, with maximum car spaces of approx 30, maybe 40 spaces, when the Hotel must have twice as many rooms is just not acceptable. They should make it clear in their advertising that parking is limited, and on a first come first serve basis. Luckily, after 30 minutes of waiting and driving around (amongst others now doing the same), i humped onto a pathway outside the Hotel and prayed we didnt get a ticket, or more. Luckily we didnt and we saved £17. Upon entering the Hotel, it was very fresh, new, airy, light etc, knowing this you knew the Hotel was in the superior bracket. Greeted by lovely staff who were prompt, polite and efficient in checking us in. Our room was second floor and a family room. They had lifts, however, as our room was at the other end of the Hotel, a short walk from the lift to the room was required. Not really much of an issue. Once in the room, it was clean, tidy and clearly appeared to be maintained well. Lovely floor to ceiling windows with brilliant sea view, no complaint here. All usual expectations, TV, tea/coffee, room phone etc, including, iron, iron board and hairdryer if required. The bathroom was nice and large, nicely kitted out, lovely shower with free shampoo, soap, conditioner and even lotions!!!. The beds themselves were nice (2 big double beds), comfy, pillows a little un comfy but not an issue. The only observation about the room/beds, there is very little room between each bed, the window at one side and the wall at the other, so you literally had to shimmy down between the bed and the wall to get out. No good for bigger or mobility limited people. This however to me wasnt really an issue. A good nights sleep followed. Now the really terrible part. Clearly, the Hotel is housing way too many guests to comfortably and safely manage breakfast time. We went down for breakfast and it was a disgrace, in the way it was set up and managed. We queued right outside the room that held the breakfast food, so much that people were in theory snaking between people already sat down having their breakfast. We ended up queing for nearly 35 minutes just to get into the food area. Then, poor providing of plates, cups, knives n forks, trays, nothing, taking an age for staff to bring them out, and then only a few at a time, causing hands coming from everywhere to grab 1 of the few cups or small plates that appeared. The food itself was ok, but i had to knock on the kitchen door t

Very good experience beyond expectations, the resort name is very rural, but the environment is quite good, is the best local hotel, many Latin dance judges and players are here! Breakfast is not good, but the typical English breakfast has a good taste. Go to Blackpool unless you are staying at a hotel, check in at the hotel!

Was given incorrect room, booked 2 double beds and got 1 small double and 2 singles. WIFI does not work and no phone signal. Water pressure from shower was awful and it was either to hot or to cold. Also was dirty with hairs. The radiator in the room made an awful noise which was rattling all night long. Beds are like sleeping on concrete. No one is ar reception from 22:00 and in the morning when giving my key card back no one was at reception to complain.
Would not return or recommend this hotel to anyone

We stayed here for a cheap night away with our 8 year old, most hotels were more expensive and didnt offer much as in were very small no bar or entertainment. The bar was really big and had a sea view we had a few drinks before we went out for tea. There was a dancefloor and stage. Plenty of space for my son to play around whilst we had a drink. Tram stop right outside to the town. Room was very spacious yeh it wasn't the newest but with the price i wasn't expecting it to be. However it was clean and comfy. We had a Seaview room but had scaffolding outside our window so the window was quite dusty but that couldn't be helped. We didnt eat there however we walked past the breakfast buffet and everything looked lovely and i did look at the hygiene rating and its a 5 so. Check in was super fast and parking for the night was only £3. The hotel had a singer on and the kids were happy playing on the dancefloor so family friendly. There is also a pool which we didn't get chance to use but a great facility for the price. I would defo visit again

Excellent
Stayed here for the second time with my friend. First time was great, second time even better! We were allocated a lovely twin room, clean and modern. It was the nicest room we’ve stayed in, in Blackpool. Sue the Manager was great. She was very welcoming and carried our suitcases up to the room for us (and us girls don’t travel light!). She found us extra hangers when we asked for some. Nothing was too much trouble. She even found us a little mini fridge as we’d bought some milk with us which we needed to keep cool and to top that she knocked on our day the next day with a brand new mini fridge for the room! It really was 5 star customer service and we will definitely stay here again
Fantastic 2 nights stay at the windsor house hotel, Bob and Mary made us feel very welcome. We arrived early, our room wasn't ready but we could leave our bags no problem. This hotel is lovely, clean and very comfortable, lovely tea tray in the room with fluffy clean white towels, Continental breakfast, with lots of extras and goodies, this went down so well with our boys. The hotel is only 5mins from the center of blackpool and coral island, 10-15mins walk to the train station. We've already booked again for next year. Thanks again for a brilliant stay.
GGordonWe were dissappointed in the car parking situation. It wasn't exactly made clear that you need to drive into where it was marked exit and press for them to lift the barrier. Then unfortunately there was no room so had to call into reception to find out where we could park it was a bit stressful and could have been avoided. The hotel itself is very secure as you need to press for access to the entrance. Once up to reception on the first floor we were welcomed and allocated a room. The room was very tired with marked and scratched walls and ceiling. The bathroom had all the ususl facilities but a great big crack was in the tiles on the floor about two and half feet long. The shower head was dirty and the bottom of the main door was peeling away. The bed was two single mattresses put together which were obviously well used and meant there was a bump in between which wasnt very comfy. The bar was expensive for drinks and the staff seemed to multitask serving and cleaning tables etc. Some of the same staff were at breakfast and it just felt a bit overall short staffed. The breakfast itself was adequate but basic. We did notify reception on checking out of our findings as we are not usually ones to complain but the issues do make a difference and some just general maintenance.
KKellyEverything about our stay was fantastic greeted beautifully when we got there, room was lovely and clean, facilties brilliant, never a bad holiday experience hotel is beautiful, staff are always so lovely and the entertainment was brilliant will be booking again soon best hotel in blackpool didnt want to leave always a pleasure to stay there my son really enjoyed it wants to come back already you all take care be booking again soon could please keep me updated with the entertainment that's on for the rest of the year
GGuest UserWe visited this place with friends, 5 of us, and got a great service for 5 people in 2 different rooms. We shared one toilet. We paid 118 quids for service which is quite nice for 5 people staying for a night. As we were visiting the Blackpool pleasure beach and carrying backpacks would have been difficult so we requested the hotel staff to keep our luggage while we checked out and were gone out for the entire day, and thankfully they agreed. All in all I loved the overall service, highly commendable.
SSharonsolutely amazing hotel ...staff are so friendly nothing was too much for them if there's anything you need they will cater for it if possible ...the Foods amazing ... the bar is well priced the swimming pool and sauna is cheap perfect for families and couples ..
Definitely will be going again
3rd time I've stayed here it's amazing
GGuest UserOverall this hotel was nice great location, also on the the beach, good transport and easy to walk to town centre, good facilities, only flaw was it was our first visit to the hotel and I booked a family of 5 room with a sea view costing 78 pounds and on arrival was given a family of 4 room with no sea view only costing 65 pounds which I know as it stated the price on the receipt I was given by reception on arrival
GGuest UserFantastic place, situated near south pier, the gentleman that runs this hotel is very helpful and his manners are just perfect. Would recommend a stay here.
GGuest UserClean and tidy room, quad with private bathroom, 2 double beds. Blinds on windows instead of curtains and not blackout blinds, which left gaps in so people could see into room. Tv and tea/coffee in room. No breakfast available as no chef currently employed. £50 cash deposit must be given on check-in which was returned with no problem after room inspection. Well stocked bar and karaoke with bingo was played on Friday and Saturday night. Parking available at £10 a night but looked a bit risky out the back so didn’t park here. Reception not always manned and can be a long wait for someone to come after pressing bell. No hot water on 2nd morning so it looks like the early risers take all the hot water. For the price for a family of 4 over easter it wasn’t as bad as some reviews.
