"Me and my husband had a week stay, good location near city centre just few minutes walk to the Bullring and city centre. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and with a handy kitchen , the house keeping doing a good job . A special thanks to Linda, she is extremely helpful to help us to extend to another week stays. "Stayed here with 2 others to attend the UK Games Expo. If you have a car, it's a great location! Only 15-20 minutes away. It was honestly a beautiful place to stay, the room was spotless and very welcoming. There are lots of pluses including a nice choice of breakfast, a living room to relax in and a lovely outdoor space that was surprisingly quiet. The parking was free too! The host was very friendly, giving us lots of tips about the area and the hotel. Highly recommended if you need to stay in the Birmingham area for any reason. It's near every shop you could ask for!"

"The sister hotel of the Edgbaston Park Hotel, we stayed at Lucas House one of our nights as we were unable to book consecutively.
We stayed in a room with two single beds. The bed was too small. It was hard to imagine how a tall person could sleep...
The bathtub was also small. In addition, if the transparent waterproof door on the bathtub is pushed and pulled until it is flush, it will be difficult to open it from the inside. Fortunately, I have a partner who stays with me, otherwise I would be trapped in the bathtub if I was alone.
Apart from the above two items, everything else is excellent. There is a small green fence outside the window and a small flower bed outside the hotel. From a distance, it looks like being in a fairy tale town. Breakfast and check-in are both done at the Edgbaston Hotel across the road."

"Hotel is situated within the university grounds complex - unbeknown to us it was graduation week so they were hundreds of students and their parents celebrating their achievements it was a wonderful site to see.
The hotel was a stone throw away from the city centre so there were lots of things to see do and eat.

But the hotel needs a lot of improvements! The breakfast buffet you are left waiting for them to replenish food items , you have to keep asking staff where are the cups for tea as none replaced there was queues because of the location of the toaster, be careful if you ask for water to be replaced in room as I was charged but then got a refund after complaining..the executive room was good but I know the standard rooms are not great. The staff were good but there needs better organisation. The pool area dated and no set time they seem to pick and choose open close times. We had quite a few issues not all mentioned here which we told reception about we was not happy and noticed other customers complaining.. we would not stay again and certainly not 4 star 3 at most .. can’t comment on spa treatments as did not use but looking at the spa I’m sure there are better ones around. Golf course 9 hole in good condition but outside hotel area need tidying up bit scruffy.

Also, the most disgusting thing were the bedsheets, stained with yellow spots! I asked for a new set of bedsheets and the reception gave them to me and I had to put them on, because there was no one of the cleaning team to do it.

AAnonymous UserIf you want to use the hot water, you need to turn on the boost button by the boiler 20 minutes before you want to use it. Apartment was great for 1-2 nights, but it was lacking in some facilities - the TV wasn't properly connected to the Internet so couldn't use iPlayer or Netflix on the TV. There was no baking tray or roasting tray to be able to use the oven. The grill pan was filthy. The cups had to all be washed again. The dishwasher worked great and so did the fridge/freezer. Nice amenities in terms of sofa, placemats, teapot. Only four teabags for two people for three days. Reception is not open on Saturday or Sunday. There is no one site, they do have books and dvds to borrow at reception, but no one is there at the weekend. It was in a great location. Would stay again. Lightbulbs needed changing in the bedroom in the lamps as they kept flickering. There was also a lightbulb that stopped working in the kitchen. Only one plastic cup given in bathroom. But absolutely perfect location for the price. Although, be warned the bedrooms are not sound proof, please bring earplugs as there is a lot of noise outdoors.

JJSTWComfort Inn Location is great, just next to Birmingham New Street train station and within 3 mins walking distance to Birmingham China town, so plenty of restaurants and cafe surround this hotel.
The only downside is the shower area, the curtain was short and water spilling everywhere when take shower.
Overall I would rate 4.0 for Comfort Inn due to excellent location and reasonable price

In a hotel that costs more than 1,000 a night, a four-in-one express hotel shower gel is very stingy and smells bad... The bedding is rough and does not match the price of the hotel. I only asked for a one-hour delay in check-out. After the front desk agreed, they knocked on the door and said that the service could only be served for half an hour. The logic was confusing and the experience was not good.

HHouse of FunThe lOCATION was very convenient; as their was easy access to Birmingham Wharfside and Mailbox, leaving me with many restaurant options. For those that love to travel into the city to shop this is the perfect location due the Bullring was around a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Upon arrival there was know one at reception to check us in; we waited approximately 5 minutes before a staff member arrived. However the staff member that attended to us we very polite at and helpful. Good SERVICE
The hotel rooms itself had an innovative modern style.
The bed was very comfortable and linen was beautifully textured, they were also very considerate with towel as they insured that spare towels where provided. I must say the the the rooms were very CLEAN I was also very pleased with the robes that were provided. Contrary to all theses great factors the corridors within the complex are in some much need of a refurb.
Apart from the hotel rooms there was no other AMENITIES because unfortunately the guest !NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO THE SPA! due to its closure earlier this year. This was very misleading due to the fact that the hotels unique selling point and main advertisement focus was the spa.
