It takes about 10 minutes by tram from Berlin Central Station, which is the final and departure point, so you should be able to arrive without getting lost. It's about a 5-8 minute walk from the tram station, and there aren't many people on the street even during the day, so you'll want to take a brisk walk at night.
I arrived earlier than check-in time, but I was able to get in and the staff were all friendly.
Also, it was nice that the first floor was a bar so I could have a drink in the middle of the night.
However, it was my first time being given sheets and being asked to lay them out myself, and there were no bed numbers or anything like that, so it was just a matter of finding an empty spot lol.
Also, it seemed like they wouldn't lend me a towel unless I asked (I thought they didn't have one, but my roommate went to get one).
The toilet, shower room, and room were fairly clean, but I felt that the price was not worth it overall.
