Hotel Sachsenhof

A group of us stayed at this hotel. It is in a very convenient location and the metro station is just around the corner. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is basic but comfortable. I booked a single room and was surprised to see a small single bed in my room. Perhaps this is not uncommon in Germany when booking a single room. But overall for what it is, it's a good hotel, comfortable and a convenient location. There are nice cafés and restaurants nearby too.

With hotel prices at a premium we decided on this hotel and booked private car parking. Upon arrival we discovered that the key given to the car park didn't work which meant getting the staff to physically come with us to get us access. The room was a bit cramped for a family of 4 but thankfully it had a fan to deal with the heat. €12.50 all you can eat buffet breakfast, if you stay here on a Sunday then it maybe your own option for morning food as most shops are shut. Problem with the shower meant we didn't get enough pressure and the double bed lights didn't work. Some of the staff were a bit non plussed but not overly unhelpful. Room was clean and the hotel if a few mins walk to Nollendorf Station. Nice ice cream shop just down the street. All in all decent but won't be back with a family

From top to bottom this hotel is excellent friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. Also its location is ideal right beside a Ubann station and also close to numerous bus routes.

Booked in advance a double room for sole use at a really good rate, thankfully before the city cottoned on to Love Parade and an event at the Metropol a few doors down I'm pleased to say! My friend lives a few streets away so I'm familiar with this area and felt safe as a woman staying here alone. Arrival late on a Friday evening was dealt with effectively by the night receptionist who allocated me room 17 on the first floor, facing the inner courtyard as I'd requested a quiet room away from the stairs and lift. The room itself was very small, but sufficient for just myself. The bathroom was clean with shower only and some basic hand wash and shower gel. Overall very clean but disappointing to find that a kettle was not supplied. The safe was handy as were the storage areas for my belongings and rucksack. Hot drinks are available 24hrs a day although I only discovered this when the receptionist directed me to the canteen late one night when I requested some hot water to make a drink (being English, I carry my own string tea everywhere!) This obviously softens the blow if not having a kettle in the room a little. I did find that noise from neighbouring residential properties was often annoying with open windows, and the cleaners just love to repeatedly ram the hoover into the neighbouring rooms walls early every single morning. Who needs an alarm call anyway? Overall a pleasant stay just 2 minutes walk from Nolly station. Lovely little coffee shop/cafe called Vickys accross the road for breakfast should you not wish to take it at the hotel. Would stay again for the right price.

This is a fantastic small hotel literally 100m from the metro station. We received a warm welcome in English. We were also given our room early which was very much appreciated. Our room was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. Room temperature was really easy to control - which was very helpful as it was -2 degrees outside during the day. Breakfast was the usual European options which were plentiful and super fresh. But best bit was that breakfast was served till 12 noon!! How wonderful is that! Some other small, but great, touches. They have a water geyser in the breakfast room where your could fill up water bottles for your room at any time of day. From 2pm till 8pm there is self service tea, coffee, hot chocolate, herbal teas etc and a small selection of cakes for free. Great for when you come in from a hard day of sight seeing. Overall a strong recommendation.

GREAT location. Minutes from the U-Bahn. Easy walking to many sites in Berlin. Room was clean with a comfortable bed. Nice shower with hot water. Front desk staff was superb, very helpful and friendly. Coffee/tea and cake in the afternoon - evening is a very nice touch.

The hotel location is good as close to the rail station, bus stop, and shopping street.

Hotel location is ok, 1 stop away from kudam. Breakfasts could be better. The location of hotel is perfect for those who visit messe berlin. It is on the same u-bahn line. 7 stops away(12min). However the price during messe is high, 120eur/night for double room
