My second time staying here, and the stay was as good as the last time. Staff was always very friendly, we received our 2 rooms already at 10 am. Huge thank you for making that happen! Also received the complimentary upgrade per status. The room was modern and large, with a comfortable bed. However, the bed did not have a down topper as most luxury hotels do have. Roomservice was always on point. The spa is nice, especially during summer when you can enjoy the rooftop loungers and sun. However, the indoor area is a bit untidy, as there are towels, slippers, glasses, even pieces of paper around the floors, chairs and tables left by the guests, and it seems the staff is not too keen on cleaning the area. Due to these issues, the spa is not top tier. It is nice, but not comparable to most Ritz Carltons, Mandarin Orientals Rosewoods etc, even to some other Waldorfs. The breakfast is nice. It seems to be pretty crowded during weekend mornings, which might cause one to wait 30+ minutes for eggs to arrive, but other than that it was very enjoyable. They have a nice solid buffet as well as a made to order list of desserts and eggs prepared by the chefs. Also received complimentary late check out for both rooms, thank you for that. The doormen were alse very very helpful, always helped carry bags and helped sith taxis etc.

This hotel has had a revamp and is now called the Art Hotel, Park Plaza. There is another Park Plaza nearby…..we ended up there first! So don’t get confused!! Once you find this hotel….we arrived on the day of a national strike… it’s fab. Ignore the journey planner…. This hotel is a less than 10 min walk from the western end of the U1 line. The room we had was on 5th floor on a quite busy street, but it was so quiet we didn’t realise it until we looked out of the window the following morning. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, a great night sleep was had by us both. Shower was a big rainfall type with a smaller head shower head option if you wanted. Complimentary Elemis shower gel, hand wash, as well as body lotion. Breakfast was worth every penny as part of your B&B option. Otherwise it’s €18 for a full option or €5 for coffee and a croissant in the bar. Breakfast was fresh, pastries, cheese, meats, toast, mushrooms, sausage, bacon, pancakes, cereals, yoghurts; you could make your own fresh juice from fresh veggies & fruits. Coffee was excellent (I was told)…. I took my own teabags as I am very fussy, and made great tea. There is a spectacular hot water urn……that is very ornate and was awesome. Staff were multilingual and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very insightful about the local area, and the available public transport options. I would highly recommend this hotel which has pop art throughout. We are planning to head back to visit Berlin again and we will most certainly stay here again.

A space of darkness turned into a space of light: the building's past as a court and a women's prison that was transformed into a hidden green oasis with a unique character. Various elements of the old building were maintained and beautifully blended with a modern, minimalistic and wellness-focused design in warm tones. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom simply huge and the garden views add to the overall feeling of peace and serenity. A lovely touch the board games room with billiard table, while the sauna and outdoor pool were perfect for unwinding. A true Berlin gem, turning its rich history into a delightful and romantic stay.

Just completed a five night stay at this hotel and had a great experience. The staff is extremely knowledgeable regarding the surrounding area and Berlin in general. My room was wonderful and the breakfast superb. The executive lounge was well stocked and the staff helpful. Highly recommend this centrally located hotel for your next visit.

Very convenient location, just 3 mins walk to Main Station. Signed up for member for free and received free city transportation travel card (S-Bahn, U-Bahn, Tram, Bus, VBB). Breakfast at ground floor dining hall with variety of food. We enjoy the button mushroom stew with herbs, croissant is very good as well. Reception are friendly and helpful. No teabag, coffee and kettle in the room. Ground floor have bar, can ask for hot water from there. Room is clean and soundproof is super great even just right beside Main Station.

I stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin for a little over a week and everything from the moment I stepped inside to the moment I left was flawless. Was treated to a beautiful welcome amenity and everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful and just went above and beyond when they didn't have to. The property's location couldn't have been better as it was close to everything (museums, Michelin star restaurants, top attractions, etc.) - I think I took a taxi maybe three times during the entire trip. The guest rooms are beautiful and totally silent as I never heard guests from another room, voices in the hallway, elevators, etc. Highly recommend reserving a room with Club Lounge access as the food and drinks were excellent, however the best part was the staff (Cem, Sara and Mandeep in particular) who were incredibly kind, helpful and always giving their personal suggestions on where to go and what to see. Staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin made the difference in having a good and an amazing trip to Berlin. First class hospitality and trip I will never forget!

The breakfast was excellent. I drink tea a lot and there were a variety of tea I could choose and I could choose to brew a cup or a pot of tea. They served different kind of eggs, including omelets. The room is very clean and well equipped with coffee maker and kettle.

The Berlin Marriott is a star. My husband had business in the area so we enjoyed an extended stay in Berlin. Others who stayed closer to the conference weren’t very happy with their experience, but the Marriott made our trip so enjoyable. It would be hard to beat this location. Near the Brandenburg Gate and an easy walk to many of the must-see attractions it allowed me to make the most of my time. I walked in Tiergarten every day. From the excellent first impression (thanks, Cesare) throughout our stay I always felt like I was coming home when I entered the lobby. The wonderful doorman with glasses always had a smile for me (thank you!). We were in room 868 facing Ebertstraße. I expected street noise considering it’s facing the main road but it was honestly one of the most quiet hotel experiences I’d ever had. It’s right in the middle of everything yet so serene. The staff are top-notch. The concierge was friendly and very helpful. The whole operation feels exceptionally well managed. The hotel is spotlessly clean. It even smells good! Our room was very comfortable and had a terrific view. We had a lot of ironing to do and my husband commented on the “fantastic” iron. Little details like that made the business side of this trip less stressful. It also seemed very secure. On our early departure morning we saw the night associates near the door - nothing was going to get past them without them noticing. We found the lobby bar to be relaxing and a great spot to catch up with others in our group. If you’re looking for a quick bite definitely try The Big Dog which is attached to the hotel. Our group really enjoyed our lunch there and Loris was so welcoming. My only suggestion for improvement would be they should replace the instant coffee that’s in the room with a regular coffee maker or Keurig. (Plenty of coffee options at breakfast though - either regular coffee served by staff or you can use the machine where you can push a button and have a specialty coffee in seconds. I think they keep a carafe of coffee right at breakfast check-in so you can grab some in a to-go cup.) On a side note - our early morning taxi to Berlin Brandenburg airport was €50.50. Taxis are always lined up right next to the hotel. I’m home now and really missing our peaceful home base in Berlin.

The hotel is ideally situated in the Friedrichstrasse area, and the station is right outside the hotel from where you can get direct routes to the airport its only 4 stops. The staff where helpful and friendly and specifically the ones in the downstairs bar (Regina, Amelie and Gerard) – where we cashed in our 10 Euro voucher due to foregoing housecleaning for a day. They made a real effort to provide the options available to us and helped make a lovely fruit juice. I stayed in a twin room XL and had some initial issues about 2 separate beds, but eventually persevered and managed to get it. I don’t believe the hotel has many rooms with 2 single beds. Our room was very big and we had a lot of space to move around with no concerns about bumping into each other’s luggage’s. The windows were large and can be fully opened. There was a note on the heater about not touching it as it would turn on automatically. Bathroom was large as well with the expected amenities from a hotel of this calibre. The safe operated by using a credit card which was not working properly during our stay. The breakfast area was very large and can accommodate a lot of people. The options were fantastic with plenty to choose from for both meat eaters and veggies. I had a great stay at this perfectly located hotel and the room met all my expectations.

This is a modern functional hotel (which we booked via BA holidays) apparently popular for conferences, so you get the picture. Four of us went for a city break. The hotel is well situated within easy walking distance of Gendarmenmarkt. Spittelmart U-bahn is 2 minutes away. Easy and welcoming check-in. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious. The bathroom had an excellent walk-in shower although the wash basin had the depth of a birdbath. What was surprising was the amount of wasted space in the bedroom with a great void between the bed and the door which could have been used for some proper drawers and shelves. As it was, there was only 1 drawer and 3 shelves, one of which was useful only if you were 2 metres tall (see photo). The wardrobe, if you could call it that, was an open hanging space, but it was situated at right angles to a padded seat (see photo) making accessibility difficult and there was only one chair in the room. Tea-making facilities were available but instant coffee only and powdered milk. We used to take a small jug of milk from breakfast and keep it in the fridge. There was a very good and comprehensive breakfast with just about everything one could want. As a morning tea drinker I cannot comment on the coffee which came from a machine, but there was an excellent selection of leaf teas. The hot food was OK, but nothing cooked to order so that eggs were either warm scrambled or hard boiled. Staff were very helpful and dishes promptly refilled. We didn’t use the restaurant for dinner as the menu looked pretty basic but there are restaurants within walking distance. All in all, nothing special but I would still recommend it for a short stay.
