Hotel Klassik Berlin

I left my luggage here in advance and it was not possible to check in at three in the afternoon. There was a vignette at check-in. The front desk gave us a room with someone and swiped the card. A man was lying on the bed. Fortunately, it was scary to wear clothes. Going to find her to solve the problem, it was she who made a mistake, but she was frightened and not very satisfied. The sanitary conditions are not very good, the transportation is very convenient, there are dm and rewe supermarkets nearby, and there is a large shopping mall near the train station.

On arrival, check in process was ok once he’d found my booking. I was on the third floor, there’s no lift so had to walk up the stairs which may not suit everybody. Room was ok, I had a single room. It could do with a bit of updating, a lick of paint (especially round the bathroom window), clean curtains and a new pillow but apart from that it was a pleasant stay. Bed was very comfy. Reception shuts at 8pm so you have to use the side entrance if you’re out late.
Sunflower Hostel Berlin

This was a great hostel in Berlin. Neighborhood was super cool and it was the most lively of the hostels we stayed at during this trip in Euro. We got lucky with our room as it was down a hall by itself and even though it was near kitchen it was pretty quiet. The staff was super nice and helpful and the room was spacious despite being 6 beds. Bathroom was also nice and clean. Only complaint would be it's on the pricier side for hostels, and the kitchen did not have much to use for cooking compared to others.

The hotel experience starts with their website and is a clue to the creativity put into this place. We stayed in a loft room that faced the courtyard. The loft is unique and does require climbing a ladder and a little hike to get in the bed. The room was small, clean, had a TV with its own preset content, pretty poor WiFi, cute yoga/exercise room on different floor and very nice breakfast buffet with lots of vegan options. Open windows allowed airflow along with some music/courtyard noise that eventually got quiet and although its nonsmoking rooms unusual smells came from courtyard which caused us to close window. The challenge is with window closed it got unbearably stuffy in our room. It’s the main reason for four vs five stars. I would recommend the hotel simply not allow staff, guests or otherwise to smoke there at all. The hotel reception desk, housekeeping, and breakfast staff were very friendly, hardworking and helpful. The hotel restaurant is also recommended to try at least once which also had vegan options and excellent staff. The cafe had excellent staff as well just very few vegan food options.

Súper spot in a lovely part of Berlin. Close to Friedrichshain and super accessible by train, tram or bus to the other parts of Berlin. The young Irish receptionist was helpful with check in. It was great to have the option of breakfast on my day of check out as I had a early flight. The only thing I’d say is more juice options could be left out for breakfast. 5/5 stay and I’ll certainly be back next year when I come with my family.

I had a nine-night stay at this place for the purpose of an Erasmus+ project. The rooms that we were given had a private bathroom. The room I shared with two other people was not that spacious, but, overall, was OK. The bathroom was OK. The lounge was also nice and we could relax with the rest of the members of the team there.
