Good points - communal areas clean and tidy. Vitoria on reception nice. Large bedroom looked like it was recently Decorated. Big bed and soft pillows. Enough electric sockets. Good shower. Soundproof, although there's always someone who has to slam their door. Breakfast good. All the usual. Bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt, fruit eggs etc. Bit manic at times. Bad points. Bedroom wasn't cleaned and bed wasn't made one day. Another day we weren't left with a spare toilet roll. Our towels were never folded and just left in a heap on the rail. Never given any milk in room for coffee. We haf a shared balcony, but if we went on it, you could see staight into another bedroom, on the corner. Thick slimy brown muck at bottom of shower. It was never clear off in the 9 nights we were there. Without effort, I cleared a bit off with a tissue. It was disgusting. Area is good and not run down considering its by the station

A good hotel overall, small and beautiful type. Originally, I thought I would land in a remote mountain area with a low-cost airline, but I didn't expect to find a niche tourist attraction by accident. We took Line 1 from Bergamo Airport and arrived at the bus stop near the hotel in about 15 minutes and walked for 12 minutes. When I arrived late at night, the front desk brother was very enthusiastic and actively introduced facilities such as breakfast/spa. The room is more spacious than expected, especially the bathroom! The air conditioner is very easy to use, and all the facilities are very, very clean, it is worth recommending~ Breakfast is very pleasant, 7-10 point supply, not rich but sausage/bacon/scrambled eggs/can be glorified/coffee, especially you can listen to the bells in the garden to eat, take pictures very well. There are many small shops near the hotel, the price is different, 15-1000 Europe has, I am very happy to find good-looking clothes. There is also a delicious pizza at the door, the price is fair and relatively hygienic. I had breakfast the next day, took the cable car up the mountain after storing my luggage, the scenery was good, there was a magnificent cathedral. Overall Bergamo is really worth a visit!

Stayed at the Winter garden on a resent business trip and I attended a conference at the hotel. I stayed for 2 nights and I was with 2 other colleagues. The welcome at the front desk when we arrived was very good and the staff were very polite and spoke very good English. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and we were all very impressed first by the friendliness of the staff, we asked about local wines and our waiter recommended a very nice red. Second was the quality of the food everything was by perfect. Breakfast was served on the top floor there was indoor seating and also a nice area outside. There was a very good selection for breakfast and everything was very fresh. The conference facilities were very good and the coffee and pastries served when we took a break were very good At lunchtime we were served a very good buffet. The hotel very very clean and the rooms were nice and comfortable. I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel if I’m ever in the area again.

Most satisfied with the entire journey. The location is super good, and the train station will be on the road. The photo is real. The room was large, very clean, the equipment was new, and the room was beautiful. The front desk is very nice and has a room for luggage storage.

There's not enough good words that can be said about the skills and training of the front desk staff, the breakfast servers, the evening dining room staff, and the housekeeping ladies. I am what is now being referred to as a ”Digital Nomad,” single, solo and senior traveler... and this hotel really fits my needs. Sure it could be €10 cheaper, but the room has an excellent long work countertop, WiFi Internet, large bed for sleep and for organizing travel bags, bathroom with both a tub and a walk-in shower correctly designed for use, and the food service is quite amazing. While you do need to take the taxi to most places, unless you drive, there is a major shopping mall just across the highway, and an unadvertised underground tunnel to get to the other side of the road and to that shopping center! I am not a fancy restaurant person, but the restaurant accommodates me with a very simple selection of food by my request. Both at breakfast and at dinner, the dining room is usually packed with happy diners and eaters. While I sit there with my simple food selection at dinner, I do admire the variety of Italian dishes that are ordered by other diners. Maybe I can't eat the spicy food but it sure looks good! And the other guests are very happy! I have used the Hotel's driver to taxi me to and from a variety of locations: BGY airport, Bergamo train Station, as well as the Covid vaccination center! He can be booked by SMS text and WhatsApp. Extremely easy to communicate with- both digitally and in multiple languages. The hotel is off the beaten track, therefore the taxi rides are going to be 10 additional euro from what might be expected in more urban areas. This is one of my more favorite hotels of any brand. While I rate the location as poor because you need to drive to get almost anywhere, the remoteness of the location is in itself a plus if you are residing here for more than just an overnight, because the landscaping is simple yet comforting, and major parking is underground.

It is worth visiting a small town for a day. The upper part of the city is part of the Venice City Defense Cultural Heritage. The hotel is in the city center, a very beautiful courtyard. The front desk English is very good and very nice. Breakfast is great too. The hotel also has a SPA that can experience 20 euros a person, but I didn't have enough time to go. 40 minutes to the north is the origin of bubble water San Pedro, where there are also hot springs. I'll give you five.

The restaurant’s meals and rooms are quite comfortable and tidy, exceptionally clean, and although it is an old meal, it is very flavorful.

There are a huge number of positives for staying at the Hotel Piazza Vecchia. It is a charming, historic property in the heart of Bergamo’s Citta Alta (Bergamo’s old town), a short walk from all the main sights of this delightful city. The location is superb, close to lots of excellent restaurants and shops, the funicular stops and the main historic sights of the city. Most of the accommodation seems to be near the station which is 15-20 minute walk to the funicular that takes you up to the historic old town (or another 15-20 minute walk up the hill if you are athletic) so it makes a lot of sense to stay here if tourism is the reason why you come to town. The hotel is located off one of the main old town streets, up a short flight of stairs to the reception desk. It’s eighteen steps, and a stairlift is available if you need help. To the three floors where the rooms are located there is a small lift. The check in and out was efficient and friendly, the receptionists are always welcoming and speak English. They really want to boost tourism to the city and were very nice to speak to. The written communication isn’t quite as strong. Before we arrived we requested an airport pick up, which they provide through a local driver who is very nice and speaks good English. We got no confirmation to say this was arranged so emailed again to be told that it was arranged. The pick up was fine but when we went to confirm the return to the airport we found the time they had was wrong. It was soon sorted out, but I would recommend double checking the details. Parking is also available at a nearby site. Our room was on the third floor. It had a balcony with a view of rooftops and the hills behind the city, a large TV (but only with Italian channels), good WiFi, a wardrobe and a very small safe, which again showed for us that Reception is a little inconsistent. I went to use it, followed the instructions and then couldn’t open it. I informed Reception (luckily, I had nothing in the safe) and that it needed resetting, but it didn’t happen during our time at the hotel. There is also a coffee machine, fridge and a comfortable bed and an air conditioner/heater. They provide cups, glasses and a corkscrew. The most irritating thing about the room we stayed in was that there was no ceiling light, just a wall light and three lamps, making the room quite dark and impossible to find anything in the wardrobe or drawers after dark without a torch. The only other downside to the room was that there was only one bin, a small one in the bathroom so it filled up quickly. The room also had a desk, a table and seats, which weren’t that comfortable, they were like garden furniture, so I suspect that they go on the balcony when the weather improves. The bathroom had a good shower. The sink was nicely designed but a bit impractical, with a sloping bottom to it and an overhanging tap which made shaving or washing your face awkward. I arrived just past midnight from Orio al Serio Airport, I walked to the hotel, it is just 1,43 km from the airport. Taxi takes 15 € minimum charge so why not. At the hotel a man and young woman did not even say hi or well come, just took my reservation and stoned faces. I asked, can I get room umber one as I requested in in the reservation form. No you cannot, you have booked superior double room the man said almost with anger. I said, but I wrote the note as I was requested on the previous trip 2 weeks before by the hotel manager. No you can not he repeated. I said, why you have not read my note on the reservation? No reply. I asked why I should pay 15 € more for the room 47 when I asked room number 1, where I had stayed. Their English was very poor. I ask the young woman, do you have any painkiller medicine as I have terrible head ace after traveling from North Europe all day. No we do not have she said. I said, you are a hotel you must have some first aid kit if something happens with customers, no she said so unfriendly way. I told them, this the very last time I stay here, this was my fourth time in 1,5 months. In the morning usual breakfast in the next door restaurant. Typical poor continental breakfast, even service was good. If one pays 85-100 € for one night, hotel must provide better breakfast. In the morning I told the manager what happened at night. He was sorry and said, we read the notes on reservation nest time. Too late I never stay in this hotel, there was NO service at all!
