Had a great time, rented a 2 bedroom apartment. Children love the 3 pools. Food in the restaurant brilliant, tried breakfast lunch and dinner. Definately will be back. Had a problem with a sliding door, they came and repaired it with no problems. Very welcoming people. Hilly so make sure you dont mind walking or get a car. Love it here!

The resort is supposed to be 4 stars, however the apartment is outdated, the terrace is not clean. It is situated on the streetside not a very secure situation with an open garbage bin in front. Cleaning is only once per 2 weeks, which is not enough for good hygiene and a 4 star rating. We will not come back here.

Lovely big apartments but remote! We had done our research beforehand and hired a car and luckily we did, there is NOTHING within walking distance of this place and if you were brave enough to try the hills there are no footpaths here either. But we had a car and were fine to go wherever we needed. We had plenty of space for our group of 5 with each room essentially having its own bathroom, the master bedroom having the best one. Loads of wardrobe and storage but no hangers, literally 2 per person in my room! We went to the China Home across the A7 to buy some plus some replacement bulbs for some of the lamps that weren't working, just didn't want the hassle of explaining it to reception. Single beds are narrow if you're used to a 90cm bed, these aren't. Plenty of towels and these were changed mid visit. But no soap in any of the bathrooms, just a couple of small bottles of shampoo/gel. The kitchens have nothing either, no tea, coffee, salt, pepper, oil etc, which you would get in other places. A couple of dishwasher tablets were left, we brought a few with us so we didn't have to buy a big box and leave it behind. The balcony was big but little or no shelter from the pergola so it was useless during the day. The staff were efficient but couldn't be called friendly but we found that everywhere we went, it must be a Spanish thing. We had teenagers with us and they loved the padel, the large pool plus the games room and they made use of the gym while there too. They had hoped for basketball which is still mentioned on the website but the hoop has been removed. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was good, it might look expensive but everywhere in that region is like that now, it is dear to eat out and we cooked in a couple of nights. There was a good Mercadona and Lidl at the bottom of the hill plus a farmacia and a bar and petrol nearby also. Across the flyover the China Home store had everything home related plus toiletries, beach stuff and sun hats if you forgot to bring some. We had a great few days there but I think the location would put us off returning as you've no option of strolling anywhere in the evening.

The complex was quite good overall although the apartments were a bit dated and cleanliness wasn’t the best. The terraces and the balconies were quite dirty and furniture dated. They could’ve power washed the dirt off easily. We did have a lot of space which was nice as a large family. 3 bathrooms was a bonus! The kitchen was well equipped and the washing machine and dishwasher was handy. The views were beautiful especially at night. The pools were nice and the table tennis, tennis courts were a bonus although the tennis is €25 an hr. The hot tub was nice although you can’t adjust the temperature. It was cold at night but fine to use during the day when the sun was out. We hired a car thankfully as it is very remote and no shop on site. Mercadona is less than 5 mins drive though. You definitely need a car here as it’s up a huge hill and no buses around. The restaurant on site was overpriced so we didn’t eat there. It’s much better value to eat in Estepona or Benahavis. Taxis were difficult to book as a family of 5 they didn’t do large cars so would need 2. As a result we drove everywhere. Air con ran out of gas on day 3 of our 9 day stay. We were told it couldn’t be fixed so would have to move. This was a huge inconvenience and we lost a day of our holiday packing up and moving. No alternative though as the heat was unbearable in August. I heard other people complaining too. Also have friends that stayed here earlier in summer and same thing happened to them where they had to move apartments midway through their holiday. They don’t seem very apologetic at all about this, just mentioned it being August and the festival, that’s not really my problem, they should have planned and made sure to have enough gas to supply the air conditioning as they knew we were coming. The new place wasn’t as nice as our first one and the bedding was stained with red and blue marks and lots of ants all over the bedrooms, kitchen and on the beds. I did call and they cleaned it but after the hassle of moving this was the final straw and not what you need on a relaxing holiday. It’s a real shame as we might have stayed here again but these issues have put us off and we wouldn’t return because of this, particularly the air conditioning issue as we struggle to sleep in the heat. Also the swimming pool turned all our swimming costumes yellow! Finally there was a bit of construction noise from across the hill, which was a little annoying but outwith the hotels control. They started work early which did wake me a few times. A mixed review with some positives but unfortunately too many negatives for us to consider a return stay here.

This was our third time visiting, as we have always had a nice experience here, which is why we chose to return. The apartments are spacious, clean, and well located, and the pool and reception staff were lovely. Unfortunately, this stay was very disappointing. The chemicals in the pool turned my young son’s hair and clothes green, which was upsetting enough. On our last day, after applying a cream, he had a severe reaction within minutes, screaming and crying as a nasty red rash appeared. The only shower by the pool is cold, and as he is only four years old, this made things even worse. I took him into an apartment, which had not been cleaned and had the door left wide open, so that I could shower him quickly, as he was clearly in pain. We were inside for less than five minutes when we were confronted by an extremely rude and aggressive woman, shouting “unbelievable” repeatedly. She refused to listen, followed us out to the pool area, and continued shouting in front of my distressed child. It was a horrible experience and ruined the end of our holiday. Had she simply listened, I believe she would have understood the situation. If the apartment had been cleaned and locked, I would never have gone inside. Instead, what could have been a lovely trip ended very badly, and we left earlier than planned. I sincerely hope this was rude woman gets some much needed customer services training or a new job! Sadly, this isn’t a one off, the same woman, was incredibly rude to an elderly lady, who’d been coming for fourteen years, who was requiring some help with her disabled husband. These people weren’t known to us, but my husband assisted her as he was so shocked by the lack of empathy and compassion this woman displayed! Interestingly at that time, she also said she couldn’t speak English, but was clearly able to when she was shouting at us!

Visited July 2025 with two adults and three children aged 11, 14 and 15. I booked this hotel knowing it was a bit out of the main holiday area but had townhouse style accommodation that enabled us to have three bedrooms all with en suites and a downstairs toilet. These also come with a jacuzzi on the roof terrace. We hired a car from the airport and I don’t think you would want to stay here without one as it’s set up for self catering and the nearest Lidl or Mercadona are 4-5km away. It’s about an hour by car from the airport. The accommodation does feel a little bit dated but it was clean and functional. The bits that I found a bit frustrating were there is no allocated parking spot so other people leave their cars outside your apartment and you have to park further away, the kitchen had everything but the oven only had one shelf and no grill pan, the lounge tv will not connect your phone, the WiFi is patchy in the bedrooms, the utility area with the washing machine is next to the kitchen but open to the outside and smelt a bit, the twin room we’re narrow and didn’t have a lot of storage for clothes, the sun-beds on the roof terrace were showing their age and the jacuzzi is set to one temp that you can’t change. These are all quite minor in reality as it didn’t stop us having fun. Maids cone every 5 days if you are stopping a week or two weeks to change bedding and towels but alongside emptying the bins, that is all they do as you are expected to keep the area clean. You pay a refundable deposit for breakages which is just a block on your card and took 5 mins to get released when you check out. The hotel facilities are ok, the reception is a nice clean area and is near to the restaurant which we used twice during our stay, the Sunday night bbq was a nice event but we went on a non entertainment night and found the choice quite limited and it is a bit more expensive than travelling into busier places. 20 euros minimum for dishes and 30 - 40 for some steaks etc seemed to be the rate around the area. We found Estapona cheaper to eat out in and nicer to be there., you can park just out of town if you are ok with a 20 minute walk. The hotel has padel and tennis which you pay to hire and we’re in good condition. Two of each court so you can get in if you book in advance. The pool areas of which there are three were all clean but on some days had limited sun bed availability although there is grass and people sat on towels, they did seem to put more out towards the end of the stay. No one put towels out early and I assume people had a lot of days out like we did so it’s a bit of luck whether you have all chosen the same day for a pool day. There is a ping pong table next to the bottom pool and a bar although no draft options so you might as-well get your own beer from your own fridge. Cocktails are limited to 4 kinds and they seemed to be lacking the ingredients in numerous occasions so I stopped using it. The tour operator I went with said th

Don't be put off by the few negative reviews, lovely place, no issues with accommodation, pools etc. great value for money, wonderful staff and the food at the restaurant is amazing! Yes a car is helpful for popping down to the supermarket if needed, but plenty of taxis about if you don't hire a car.

Fourth visit to Colina del Paraiso, flying into Malaga then renting a car to get to the property. Apartments are clean, large and well equipped and with good aircon. Three pools to choose from. Tennis courts, football pitch, pool tables, bar and restaurant with great view. We had a car (you really need one if staying here self catering) and love this place as a base. Perfect.
