Hotel Palazzo Genazzini, Bellagio, Lake Como Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent lakefront location, directly next to the Bellagio ferry terminal and within easy walking distance of the town’s shops, restaurants, and attractions. The location was particularly convenient for exploring Lake Como by ferry. History & Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The hotel occupies a beautifully renovated approximately 250-year-old building, combining historic character with modern comforts. The setting directly on the lake gives the property a distinctive and charming atmosphere. The balconies extend right over the water, providing an especially memorable setting. Room: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our room was somewhat small but very attractive, elegant and beautifully appointed. The superb views more than made up for the limited space. We enjoyed beautiful views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains, as well as watching the boats passing directly in front of the hotel from our balcony. Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good, friendly service throughout our stay. The concierge was particularly helpful in arranging a taxi transfer from Varenna Esino railway station to the ferry terminal when we arrived from Switzerland. Although the distance is short, this was extremely helpful with our luggage, especially since taxis are not normally waiting at the station. Breakfast: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent à la carte breakfast served in a beautiful lakefront setting. The restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide unobstructed views of Lake Como while keeping guests comfortably sheltered from the weather. Freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juices, rather than bottled juices, were a particularly nice touch and made breakfast even more special. Facilities: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The hotel does not have a gym, swimming pool, or spa, which is worth noting for guests who consider these facilities important. Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended for its beautiful lakefront setting, historic character, spectacular views, and convenient central location in Bellagio.
