Taj Bekal Resort & Spa, Kerala

A nice idyllic holiday place. Lovely rooms with a swing bed in the balcony .. nice airy rooms . Lovely all Inclusive resort .. with a beach and backwaters . Taj hospitality very good as usual . Were given an early Check in since we reached by 10 am from Mumbai . Special mention of the Sadhya- traditional Kerela banana leaf meal we had plus the free high tea available near the poolside everyday .. lovely stay

Our stay at Taj Bekal was amazing. The location of the resort is just superb, it is not too far from the city and at the same time it offers a quiet and peaceful stay. The backwaters and the access to the beach is great! We did not explore the activities much, though they offer a good set. Bekal Fort is just 10 minutes drive and it offers stunning views, it is a must visit place.

A trip to Bekal. It was a 3nights 4 days trip. We started from mumbai with Air India direct flight to ***galore which was approximately 90 min. We had pre booked the hotel taxi which is about 2 hrs drive to Taj Bekal Resort. Chauffeur Mr.PRASHANTH was very friendly & informative. As we reached the Resort we had a warm welcome, it was an express check in. We had book Premium Villa with Courtyard and Plunge Pool King Bed which was spacious. Plunge pool was not that great need the renovation but , the swing had all the joy ,great time in bathtub with hot water as it was raining heavily. There is no privacy too pool, swing & bat tub as it all connected to lawn to the other side i.e. lawn facing back water. Architecture is decent has maintained a good height which gives it very grand look. Resort is widely connected to back water also it was so quiet that we were able to hear the sea waves sound clearly. Toilets & bath area is good with all Forest Essence cosmetics & hygiene Maintained by the house keeping. Food:The Food option were less as they have only two restaurants & one bar. We had buffet for dinner but the options were very less. The breakfast has also a same problem there were ***y repeated options. Being a brand TAJ this was not expected, *though quality of the food is good there is no doubt in it* . Personal attention was been giving by the restaurant staff ( Back water cafe), special thanks to Tanuja and Yashoda. In room dining was good we had ordered pizza that was very freshly prepared & warm served , Chicken tandoor tikka which was supposed to be served with salad dressing, was served with Sprouts and that too at night which I didn’t like at all. Hi-tea is the very good event they have every evening. They had presented all the local food Spa: We had pre booked the slots for aroma therepy Threapist RUTH was good with the pressure we required. The spa rooms are very big & carm. we enjoyed it. The ***aging staff is good, very helpful all the time ,Buggy service is good no more waiting . The time of check out the the billing was ready & smooth check out they gave us the momentum as token off remembers. Had a great loving stay

Very well-designed and well-maintained rooms and property. Good spread of food at the buffet. Very courteous and helpful staff. The policy of leaving a considerable part of the property as the native, un-tampered wetland ecosystem is very well appreciated.

Amazing property. Deff stay at their pool villas. A big thumbs up !!! Good good good service. Clean n calm beaches. Nice activities. Do not miss the moon light rafting at the backwaters. Deff a win win. My lill daughter enjoyed the stay throughly !!!!

We had a fantastic time from the very beginning and throughout our trip. Every staff member at the resort was exceptional and thoughtful. The resort was not only spectacular but the service matched up. There were so ***y special touches that made the resort stand out. We loved the daily high chai and the opportunity to feed the fish. There were ***y stand out staff members including Priyanka from housekeeping, Helena and Amit at front of house the chefs just to name but a few. A magical break added to by the wonderful staff. We will be coming back for sure!

We came down to Taj for our anniversary to Taj and a huge shoutout to Mr Amit for assisting us in the best possible way, making our trip very comfortable. He has been very kind and helpful, and given us the best suggestions too. He has made our trip amazing and kudos to him. Also, kudos to the entire team of Taj for this beautiful property and staff.

A truly remarkable resort with lots of activities to keep you occupied. Fantastic rooms. Two things which I feel the ***agement should look into - 1. provide filtered drinking water in glass bottles also - wasting maybe so ***y plastic bottles wasn't a good feeling. and 2. you must have dedicated staff to supervise kids in the play area, particularly those over three years old. This is quite common in ***y hotels / resorts and should not be a challenge. Other than this the resort is excellent and service is impeccable.

Excellent property with great hospitality, Experiment with Kerala cuisine which is awesome, Great choices in breakfast too,staff is very courteous and polite,well kept and maintained property, The private beach is very near and clean.
