Beijing Huairou District 3-star Hotels

We arrived there few minutes to midnight called the hotel they opened for us and helped us with our luggage which was amazing. Pros: the location is amazing few min walk to the Great Wall, didi gets there no problem, the room style is also cute and the guest is very friendly Cons: the noise and smoke, it’s a guesthouse, downstairs is a restaurant we haven’t tried the food there tho and in the morning a bunch of people smoking and talking very loudly, also our room was next to the balcony in the wall which again smoke smell was disgusting, if you are a light sleeper and want to sleep in past 7 AM get noise cancellation buds you will need them. But overall we enjoyed our stay it was great. Thank you for having us ❤️

The surrounding area has yet to be improved. There are dogs in the village who are not tied up and keep running with people and barking. People who are afraid of the dogs are really scared to death. There is also a big black dog outside the restaurant. Although it is tied in a cage, the cage is not closed. My wife and I had a really wonderful stay at Momentos, the room was really well designed and comfortable, the location was lovely, tucked away in the Huai Rou mountain valley with a local village nearby that you can walk through to the Xiang Shui Hu scenic area to visit a section of the Great Wall. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with both Asian and Western options, their coffee was great, definitely a nice perk for anyone who enjoys a nice barista coffee in the morning. We had dinner at the B&B as well, it is 88RMB per person with a set menu created on the day with locally produce which was really delicious and the home cooked flavour was wonderful. For anyone looking to take a quick trip into Huai Rou, this spot is truly a gem and highly recommended if you are looking for something that is a bit remote with all the comfortable amenities you would hope to get in a nice boutique style hotel. Also if you are feeling adventurous, you can also visit the nearby Yun Ling village, when you get to the top of the village, there is also a path you can take that leads you to a section of the Great Wall that is a relic to see, you can't climb or access it unfortunately since it is overgrown with vegetation and the structure has literally crumbling over time, it is still really impressive to see up close though and the hike up was quite beautiful too through the rolling hills, part of the path is paved and easy to access, there are sections of the hike where there is a running stream of water you have to cross, so keep that in mind when your shoes could get really wet.

This is the second time I have come here! The transportation is convenient, and it takes an hour and a half to drive from the car. Under the blue sky and white clouds and green mountains and green waters in summer, the rush seems romantic and fresh. The environment is very quiet. The three suites with a small courtyard and activity room are private and comfortable, and you can also barbecue in the courtyard. After breakfast, I can make tea and coffee in the living room and chat with friends and relatives. I exchanged my points for a breakfast when I booked a room, but later I forgot that after checking in, everyone didn't want to get up early and didn't book an extra breakfast. The store did not remind me that the one was ordered. Although it is not a big deal, the service details will satisfy the guests even more.
