Manxin Mansion Beijing Tiananmen Wangfujing Courtyard

This hotel is super close to Wangfujing, only about 200 meters away. The nearest subway station is Jinyu Hutong on Line 8, and Line 5 isn't too far either. The breakfast, while not having a huge variety, changes daily and tastes pretty good – they even have zhajiangmian and wontons! Service and facilities are also good, though the room door lock was a bit tricky to open.

The room was moldy, the bathroom was moldy, and the curtains didn't close properly. I was woken up by the light before 8 AM, which is just ridiculous.

This location in the Imperial City is really great. The hotel decor is very cozy, and it's in an excellent location – quiet yet central. The hotel breakfast is very rich, and my child loved the old Beijing zhajiangmian, so we left full every morning.

The room was smaller than I expected. I had selected a room upgrade when booking, but it wasn't offered proactively. Also, there's a spot on the second floor of the hotel stairs where it's very easy to trip, whether going up or down. This needs to be improved; it's quite dangerous.

The environment is peaceful and quiet, and the handsome and beautiful staff at the front desk are all very enthusiastic. The breakfast is more varied than at Mercure, with different dishes served every day, which is a big plus. The kitchen staff are also very welcoming. When I was almost full, the head chef brought out a freshly made plate of pickled fish and specifically told me to try a little even though I was full. They even gave me a souvenir, Lǘdagun (a traditional Beijing snack), when I checked out.

I was really happy with the room I got for the price and location; it was a decent size. The room was very clean, and the service was warm and welcoming. The auntie at the restaurant was also very friendly. My trip to Beijing was very satisfying, and this hotel is really suitable for families.

The hotel environment is excellent, and the service is incredibly attentive. It's a highly recommended hotel near Huangchenggen with great value for money!
