Prime Hotel Wangfujing (The Forbidden City)

From the moment we arrived, the concierge was incredibly helpful and took our luggage. The front desk was efficient with check-in, and we even got a free room upgrade – such a thoughtful touch! 👍 The room was spacious with a familiar, comforting scent. Housekeeping kept it sparkling clean every day. Staying here truly is addictive! 😍 The new Longfusi commercial street just opened across the way, adding another nearby and great place to explore! 👏

Checking in was a breeze, thanks to Kelly from the front desk. She warmly introduced me to the hand-purifying ritual and the evening essential oils, striking a perfect balance of being enthusiastic and professional. Her polite and professional demeanor made me feel right at home. Every staff member I encountered exemplified the professionalism and high standards one expects from a Waldorf Astoria. The breakfast was lavish with a wide variety of choices, offering both à la carte and buffet options. Unfortunately, my stay was too short this time, so I didn't get to experience the spa. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Beijing.

Let's start with the positives: the location is great. It's just across the street from the Art Museum subway station, and Dongsi Station is a bit further, about an 8-10 minute walk. Now for the negatives: the room isn't soundproof. You can hear the sound of water filling the bathtub in the next room, and there were thumping noises at night – no idea what they were. The sink is too small; water splashes everywhere when you wash your face. The floor is old and worn out; it probably wasn't replaced during the last renovation, and it creaks when you walk on it. Breakfast was very, very average with too few options.

The staff member who guides cars at the entrance saw my child and me struggling with luggage and immediately came over to help. In the evening, when we were heading out, he enthusiastically gave us directions. He was an elderly gentleman, super nice! 👍 The front desk staff was also great, providing service with a smile throughout and even upgrading our room. Many thanks! Kids under 12 eat free for breakfast, which is a thoughtful touch, though the variety wasn't extensive. The hotel is very close to the subway station; you just need to cross the street, and there's a direct elevator access next to the Guardian Art Center.

The environment is great, and the location is unbeatable – it's right next to the China Art Museum. It's a newly renovated hotel, and both the lobby and rooms are very comfortable. The room decor has a classic, elegant style, and the smart features are very convenient. The service is also quite warm and responsive. Overall, it's excellent, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Beijing.

Very comfortable, and very close to the attractions, which is great. It's so comfortable and conveniently located near the attractions that both the kids and the elderly didn't even want to go out and explore anymore.

The room was great! Very clean overall, and they kindly upgraded my room type when I checked in. The hotel is also very close to the subway, making it easy to get around. The only thing is the gym hours are from 11 AM to 8 PM; I wish early risers could use it too, haha.

The service was alright, nothing spectacular, just average. The cleanliness could use some improvement. Breakfast offered a good variety though. The lobby design is quite grand, and the location is incredibly convenient. The biggest highlight is definitely being close to two subway entrances. I ended up staying for four nights straight.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, being very close to the National Art Museum of China, Guardian Art Center, and Capital Theater, making it incredibly convenient for visiting exhibitions and shows. The Line 8 subway station is also just a stone's throw away, ensuring easy access to transportation. The rooms are clean, hygienic, and well-equipped. The air conditioning works effectively, and the shower has good water pressure, providing a pleasant experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and proactively upgraded my room upon check-in. When checking out, I accidentally left some clothes in the room, and the staff promptly contacted me, which I greatly appreciated! If I have the opportunity in the future, I would definitely be willing to stay here again! I must also highlight that the hotel's dining environment is elegant, and the dinner offers a good selection of Southeast Asian specialties from Vietnam, Thailand, and India, which tasted quite good. However, a slight drawback is the breakfast. While the variety is rich, offering both Chinese and Western options, the taste, such as the Zhajiangmian, was just average. We had originally booked three days of double breakfast, but we only went on the first day and had no interest in going again afterward – simply because there were too few appealing options. If the quality of the breakfast could be improved, it would be absolutely perfect!
