Clean room located in a guarded off a Hutong.
A bit difficult to find and 15min walk from nearest metro station.
Staff is friendly and some speak English.

My mom is currently visiting China for the first time. We spent the weekend in Beijing over the Qing Ming holiday and my mom absolutely loved this hotel. From the furnishings to the comfy atmosphere of a time gone by. This hotel is located in a Hutong area with easy access to Lama temple and Beixinqiao subways, main attraction spots including Wudaoying hutong area, Lama temple and Confucius Temple. The staff were lovely, we flew in late and enjoyed congee soon our arrival. The rooms were stocked with free snacks and water and the facilities were clean and well maintained. We would love to return in the future!

Really nice stay! Location is great, right in the middle of the hutongs and walking distance from Lama temple, Wudaoying Hutong, Houhai and the bell and Drum tower. Staff is kind and helpful (although I don't think they speak English so well). Lots of cafés and delicious restaurants nearby too!

I could smell cigarette smoke the entire night. Hotel is very old. Toilet bowl and shower are together. Need to walk really far to get to the hotel.

A friend recommended this place, but I was disappointed. The location is in one of the hutongs, so it’s a bit hard to get to by walking, not the worst. Building, as its location, is a bit dated. However, it’s the endless drain flies that I couldn’t get rid of in my room. The drain inside the room did smell a little funky. Despite killing them daily, they always come back. There was no available room the first night, and I didn’t want to pack and unpack to another room if the same problem persists. The staff was helpful and helped me out in other ways, but they should really get a plumber to look at their pipes.

The entrance and the stairs were a bit old, nice to have restaurants close to the hotel but with a bit of noise during the evening.
Good choice if you want to see a more original neighbour close to the lama temple.

This was a perfect location for our stay, and the room was comfy and clean, if a little small for us as a couple staying more than a week. Towels and room were cleaned daily, staff were very friendly and helpful to us, even when working over language barriers with Google translation.
The only problem we had was when a resident in a room next door/above us was smoking in their room, and the smell of smoke came wafting in somehow through our bathroom - this made the bathroom, which had no windows, very difficult to stand using during this time, though it was only for two nights of our stay. Otherwise, this was a perfect stay

Our stay at Nostalgia for 4 nights was basic but good. Location is close to a lot of food options, bars and attractions (also tourists!). Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean enough but just okay. They offer laundry service which is only outerwear and doesn't include dryer as they hang them up to dry. There are several bars downstairs in the courtyard, the beer garden is great. Overall good stay for the price and location.
