Hotels in Bayan Lepas Reviews

I love budget hotels... Been to lots of them and I know the expectation when staying at this kind of accommodation. Cheap, basic amenities, no frills concept. However Hotel Seri Malaysia Pulau Pinang just set a new standards of how a hotel should not be. I've stayed with them a couple of years ago and I know how bad their services are, but after several years maybe they might consider improving at least a little, but they prove me wrong. Check in 2 days ago, and the impression is not good. Complaints from the customers at the counter (hot water, cleanliness, etc). I thought maybe he was because bg fussy. I've got the 3rd floor room which is not a problem without lift. The room is ok but the air-conditioning is unreliable. The temperature control doesn't really works. The breakfast buffet nothing special with limited spread. I saw few tourists who bring in their own food. Don't know why but I assumed the choices of F&B is not enough for them. And the seating are so limited. I know that it is School holiday session but when the customers standinh for 10 minutes with food on their hand and no one even give a damn, then it is intolerable. I do ask for a container for me to take away the food, but as if they care. So.. Seri Malaysia hotel... If you do read this review, good, please do something for the sake of your own good. For me, no more Seri Malaysia ever. To be honest I'm ashamed they have Malaysia in their brand. Change to other name please

We stayed 1N in the resort at Lily Villa, the staff in charge was very helpful and welcoming. He tries his best to help whenever we needed help. Road on the way up is bad and narrow, and limited (very small) signage. Be extra careful if you plan to self-drive. Many woods (stairs, balcony, etc.) are aged and in need of maintenance / replacement, it could be dangerous for kids (or even adults) if they are not careful enough. Fridge (freezer) in the villa really needs de-froze and cleaning. It smells so bad until we dare not put our food inside. Ice build up in the freezer covers almost of of the space, we had to remove some to put our drinks (no, you can't chill you drink in the fridge but to put in the freezer). One last & most important thing! It's best that the owner pre-warn your client (especially those who booked Lily) if there are any groups/company coming for team building. If needed, why not check with your client if they want to swap/change the room type, I'm sure most of them will say yes. We had one group coming for team building at the pool during our stay, they utilize the pool whole afternoon (until dawn) so we can't actually enjoy/relax at the pool but to suffer with their inconsiderate noise WHOLE AFTERNOON! FYI, Lily is the villa that is facing swimming pool, so think twice before booking this unit. Overall it is an enjoyable trip, despite the noise.

Booked online on the same day (last minute gateway) & we arrived at 3PM but our suite is not ready yet and my parents & my son, we all getting tired of waiting. Finally got our suite after 45min and they offer us all free breakfast & late check out for apologies. So I'm satisfied with their services. Very kind bell boy helping us during check in & check out. All their staff are very helpful & very polite. Only cleanliness can be improved since a bit dusty. Maybe they rushed to clean since its already late. Anyway, great weekend, great hotel. Will come again next time.

We stayed at 11 floor, and facing the sea. We could see Pulau Jerejak in front (but there are condos preventing a full view of Pulau Jerejak). On the east and west horizon, you could see both Penang bridges respectively. The hotel location was splendid, as it was near to both bridges. In my opinion the hotel has a good team, from it's concierge, cleaner, front desk and restaurant, whom always smile and helpful. In fact our air-conditioning which was working well. The tv channel are quite good but if it includes cartoon, maybe it will make our family more happy since we bring a child with us. The hotel had 6 lifts, hence waiting was not an issue, and 2 lifts to the parking basement. Parking slots were ample, just be careful on the ramp, it is just like cornering at PPUM hospital haha. Queensbay Mall is quite a walk and nasi kandar restaurant just right next our hotel

Room is good. In terms of cleanliness and view. Unfortunately nightmare started when guy next door which is male, tried to open up the connecting room. So scary. Just so confusing how come one not knows the function of the door. Too bad all of the facilities pool, gym were closed. So the only thing we enjoyed during out stay is the breakfast part. So delicious. So in conclusion not so worth for money during our stay.
