I can only say that the experience is average, especially the dining reservation app in the resort, which is rubbish and cannot be used on Huawei phones

Not quite a 5 star resort but overall it was a pleasant experience. I traveled as a family of 4 with two kids under 5. There’s plenty to keep the kids busy and entertained. The main buffet (Atlantico) was a decent place for breakfast and lunch. They also have a beach side buffet but it has limited food selection and not the most sanitary. The place is huge and certainly has potential but it they need to do a better job keeping up with the maintenance of the property. Boulevard is a great area for shops and entertainment. Our room was comfortable. The staff was awesome. My biggest issue with the property is that there’s only 1 towel bar for the entire property and the long walk to boulevard/the kids water park.

This is our 13th time to the DR but first time to Lopesan, which is one of the best resorts we’ve visited and wished we’d discovered sooner.
Regarding negative comments posted:
1. MUSTY ODOR IN ROOMS. This is correct but is the case with EVERY resort in the Caribbean because of humidity. Rooms are in excellent condition and AC worked perfectly. If you don’t want humidity and a musty smell then take a cruise or go to Alaska :) If you want fantastic weather, Palm trees, great beaches, and great service from friendly people, then put up with a little musty smell for the hour or two a day that you are in your room not sleeping.
2. FOOD. Food was very good. Lots of selection & great quality. People complaining are expecting US chain food, which this is not.
3. PUSHY VENDORS. We did not find that at all. If you make eye contact they will engage you but all you need to say is “no gracias”.
Resort was very well laid out. It doesn’t matter where your room is located as all are relatively close to everything.
Great resort for family with kids. Water park with a decent sized slide. Bowling alley. Teen club with pool tables. Kids club for younger kids. Ping pong table by the restaurant at the beach. Lots for kids to do.
Staff were great and spoke very good English.
Activities staff were phenomenal especially Garry, Wolf, Francisco, Alejandro, Big mama and Nicole who were always there encouraging participation in activities but were not pushy.
