Family-friendly Hotels in Bavaro

The hotel was very clean, but the staff should have more attention and respect for the guests and not to deal with them badly since arrival, because by checking the staff I was doubting my reservation and the package I bought online by trip.com He waited for several hours, embarrassing me with the other guests who were doing checking, leaving me standing for a long time and in the end he told me that he was going to check me out. On the first day of my stay, I first checked the toilet of the toilet. The toilet of the toilet was not cleaned and disinfected. I wiped the toilet with toilet paper, and there were yellow urine stains on the toilet paper. The coffee, coffee mate, and sugar in the room are not replaced in time every day. Lack of nightshow.

I really liked this hotel. All of the staff was nice, food was decent, and the entertainment was awesome. Learn some Spanish and Stay on the property when visiting the DR this is a poor country and a lot of parts look unsafe. The only complaint is the couch in the villa smelled horrible. Like previous people had went and played in the ocean and came and sat on the couch, however, I did not let management know so I can’t really complain also had trouble getting the tub to work.

Ocean Blue is a medium size resort. Not small. Not huge like Iberostar. However it has lots of fine dining (5) onsite just like the huge ones. Their beach is perfect with lots of free cabana like shaded seating. Only surprise was our scuba shop was onsite but actual dive boat was 2 resorts down the beach at Iberostar. A 10 minute walk, no problem. This side of island a bit choppy for diving. Smoother on South side. Resort super clean, safe and friendly staff. More young families and older couples. No Spring Break teens! Highly recommend this resort for families.

The hotel is big, spacious and beautiful. The property and rooms are well kept with daily prompt room service. The staff are friendly and accommodating even with limited Spanish I could get around and get by very easily. They have very good customer service and has a good supply of fresh foods daily for most part. The buffet selections were good and I love the fresh squeezed juices they provided daily and the local fruit selections. There are plenty options for lounging and relaxation on the beach and in the lobby. Everyone greats you with a genuine smile. We loved our stay, we know no where is perfect so Vista Sol you definitely outdid our expectations and we will not only return but recommend your lovely resort. There are a few hiccups I would like to highlight- 1 no iron in the room, no laundry bag you have to ask for it. No wash rags only towels and toiletries, no wifi in room only around the resort which fluctuates from fast speed to none existent. The drink selections are limited and fish bones in the salad. These are fixable things and did not detract from my experience not one bit. I would return today if I could because the staff and other amenities made the stay an enjoyable experience. We loved our waitress Bether who was always smiling and accommodating she even remembered my order from the previous day and that was very good seeing she has many people who she attends to each day. Mike from the lobby bar was also amazing and my spouse who doesn't speak any Spanish felt comfortable ordering his drinks and chilling at the bar. Our front desk agent who was most helpful was Junior he spoke English well and assisted us with a genuine smile. Mr Ferrin the bell man was very resourceful and very helpful, he went above and beyond to get us our ride to the airport. Thank you sir we appreciate you. Gracias Señor Ferrin estas magnifico. Mr Marino from front desk was also very cordial. We loved our stay and will definitely add it to our vlogs of recommended places to stay in Punta Cana.

PLEASE, I BEG YOU, LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS AND DO NOT BOOK HERE! This hotel literally ruined our holiday. Normally I’m someone who assumes 7.7 on Booking.com isn’t great but law of averages says it can’t be that bad… but I have never been more horrified by a hotel. The same complex operates under multiples names and has up to 9.6/10 reviews but I don’t think these are genuine at all. * Toilet doesn’t flush!! - this had to be fixed MULTIPLE times with no offer of a new room * Noisy, dirty, leaking air-con * Broken bathroom light * Shower is luke warm and poor pressure * No temperature control on tap * Bathroom ceiling falling down!! * Everything dirty (with very heavy limescale) * Holes in bed sheets * Dodgy door lock * Electrical sockets don’t work * No plugs for kitchen appliances * Dirty pool * Broken deck-chairs * Noisy street/bars My only positives are that lots of reviews said reception was unhelpful/unfriendly. We found the lady at reception lovely and check-in smooth. Location is near lots of restaurants and bars, but these are the same ones that are going on until 2am! Some advice - Punta Cana is an All-Inclusive hotel area. As people who didn’t normally do all-inclusive places, we tried to do it by going to restaurants and just paying for hotel-only. However, the area is just not made for this. The food at the new hotel we booked was a million times better than anything we had from other restaurants.

We enjoyed the welcoming and helpful staff. Found the accomodations in the TRS main hotel to be elegant and comforable. We celebrated a birthday and recieved a lovely cake, baloons and champagne. Our butler Norris was invaluable in organizing and facilitating, in the evening we found Oscar (El Presidente) to be similarly invested in helping us. The beach was beautiful. Swam every day in the clear ocean. I will be back.

Great stay

First the good news: The resort is beautiful. The landscape is nice and the beach area is beautiful as well. The buffet (both at Iberostar Selection and Coral Level are good). The a la carte restaurants are nice and a level up from the buffet. Everyone working at the resort is trying to keep customers happy (thanks Yolanda for making the restaurants reservations ahead of time). The evening programs were nice. Second the not so good news: Problems with the room. After upgrading our room to the ocean from presidential suite and waiting an hour to be ready not everything worked as expected. The TV in the living room was not working and it took a couple of phone calls and a day to have it fixed. The jacuzzi which was advertised as part of the room did not work either and it took two days to have it fixed. The A/C in the bedroom could not get to a cool level during the entire stay. And finally one night the electricity went out at midnight and didn’t come back until the next morning (intermittently). No explanation or apologies from the hotel was ever provided). So plan your expectations accordingly.
