La Chevrerie Resort & Spa

There are many resorts in Mabini but unfortunately many have very steep stairs to deal with. Some have their restaurants or the pool located in an inconvenient location where we have hard time to walk up and down for the food. This small resort is perfectly designed in a way that we only need to walk few steps one time for check in/out. Beautiful pool, garden with sea view, very full breakfast. Food are tasty. Our children like it. All the quiet comfort for a good stay in Anilao!
SanTomas Suites

Planned a road trip to Padre Pio Shrine and found this hotel via Tripadvisor, which is the nearest hotel to the shrine. The check in was fast, front desk staff were accommodating and helped with our bags. We reserved two suite rooms and both were spacious, with king sized beds. it was lovely! No other restaurant in he hotel except for the Japanese one in the first floor and my kids wouldn't eat there so I asked if there were other restaurants in the vicinity (since the hotel is inside the First Philippine Industrial Park, it was very clean and it reminded me of Clark), and I was told there was a restaurant in Microtel Suites just a few blocks away. My children also asked if there was a pool and we were told the pool in Microtel was shared with Santomas Suites. Isn't that a little bit awkward? We might as well have booked in Microtel?!?! But anyway, my parents loved the big, spacious room and we were able to go to Santo Tomas proper and there were a lot of food choices there anyway, so that's okay. Also, I would like to mention that everytime we went out, the guard is just sitting in his chair, not even opening the front door. And that was several times. So I guess opening the front door and greeting hotel guests is not part of his job description??? All in all, the suite rooms are very good with all the amenities and we loved it! just be prepared to go out of the hotel (no room service) and into town proper for food and other things.

The location is near Lipa City, the environment is good, similar to a manor house, no breakfast is provided, if you need breakfast, you need to pay about 400 pesos, there is parking. However, this hotel has an advantage that the Internet speed is extremely fast and surprisingly fast.
Villa MJ Maristela Beach Resort

The room is very clean and it's really like a hotel it has a comforter like the ones you see at hotels we availed the deluxe room so its not that spacious specially the comfort room only one person can fit in. You can bring your own drinks or foods too inside the resort you don't need to pay a corkage fee. They have court for basketball and volleyball the price is cheaper when you rent it in daytime. We also tried their full body massage for 1 hr that cost us 750 pesos each. You will need to go to their resto to claim your free breakfast if you avail the room that comes with a breakfast, it will not be delivered to your room but you can choose whichever breakfast meal they have in their menu plus it comes with a soup which is great and their foods taste delicious also the price of their food is reasonable but they have a 10% service charge for dine in and 15% for room service. The resto's cutoff for room service is 5pm, 7pm for dine in. The resort's downside is their operations time the front desk and restaurant is only open from 7am-8pm so if you're going to need something from the front desk after that time no one can assist you because they'll be gone by then only the guard will be left in the front door and also if you got hungry at night you might need to buy food from their resto before they closes or buy from a nearby convenient store because there's also no foodpanda or grabfood nearby stores also closes early so you have to plan your dinner ahead of time. We went to SM (closes at 9pm) the fare going there using tricycle is 120pesos.Their pool is only open till 9pm only if you want to eat or drink near the pool you can use their cabanas. Another downside is the beach, the beach area closes at 8pm. Their sand is gray (but a fine sand) you can't really swim in it because the waves are strong and the water is not clear and it's kinda dirty there's a lot of trash beside the beach it's not well maintained. You will really need to go island hopping which is already not part of the resort's activity so they'll let you sign a waiver. There's a lot of bangkero beside the beach it's best to ride by group there's only 2 of us when we rode the boat so it's a bit expensive, island hopping will cost you around 2000 (1 island) to 3.5k (2 islands) we availed the 3.5k. We went coral diving (they lent us their goggles for free or bring your own goggles) and also went at the white sand beach which is in Bauan, Batangas which also has clear water and you can also spot some fish and corals, travel time going to those 2 places is 35-45mins you can also bring your food but keep in mind to really cover it in plastic so it won't get wet because the trip going there is really rocky you will really get wet because you will pass by a strong waves so cover all your belongings. It was raining when we went there so maybe that's why the waves are strong. Overall we had a blast! We indeed had a memorable stay. They even gave us a gift when we checked out they're so thoughtful. Thank you for the wonderful experience we will surely recommend you to our friends.
Splendido Hotel

Loved our stay at Splendido Hotel. I have read mixed reviews so I managed my expectations. It was a quick birthday weekend with my kids who haven't been to Tagaytay and they have been wanting to see Taal Volcano. I am so glad I chose Splendido. Totally leaned on the positive reviews. From the staff to the WiFi, from the bed to the bathtub, and the view OMG everything was perfect. I love how the staff was available but not hovering. It was secure, safe and so peaceful! My kids can't wait to be back and so do I. Thank you Splendido!

This review has been long overdue. We stayed during the first week of May for an overnight stay to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. Reservations team will immediately contact you after you successfully made you booking. I requested for a simple set up in the room since its a mini celebration but they said it comes with a charge so I just said no. Breathtaking view btw when you entered the lobby. Very quiet and serene, away from the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Rd .Early check in was charged tho I guess there were not much guests at that time. They gave us an upgrade with a room facing the lake. Understaffed due to pandemic. There was a bit delay when we entered the recreation area since the security on duty asked us for our health certificates which was already presented during the check in. But we eventually got in.. We got the pool all to ourselves. The ff morning, when we headed to the breakfast area, they immediately served it to us as if the food had been waiting all morning. The food was not even warm. My boyfriend liked the spanish omelette and I ordered tapang taal. Both tasted fine although cold. They held us during check out because their cabinets are chipping and theyre blaming it on us when it fact it was already like that when we arrived and we didnt even bother to complain bc its just a small thing. Overall, service could use some improvement. Its just like getting what you paid for since I got the room for just 3500.
