For my wife’s birthday present we enrolled onto a fantastic cookery masterclass with James Martin which was unsurprisingly wonderful, however, what made the whole experience even more memorable were the service levels and attention to detail from every single member of the Chewton Glen Team, from check in (inc taking care of for recharge) to reception and beyond every element was on point and faultless .. The room assigned was beautifully appointed and again without fault … Special shout out to GM Clive and Emily who were on hand throughout to ensure all went well … We’ll be back …

I just wanted to thank you for such a warm service on Saturday for my Mum & Dad’s 50th Wedding Anniversary family celebration. We wanted to pay special recognition and thanks to Foye for his fantastic customer service. He was really welcoming, calm, courteous and checked in with me throughout the afternoon regarding timings so that the afternoon went really smoothly after our arrival. Thank you to all the staff at the Chewton Glen for creating such a memorable day for us all!

I have wanted to visit Chewton Glen for many years and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent. The spa was very relaxing and the treatments were wonderful. The food was first class in all the restaurants. The room was immaculate and clean. The team had thought of everything you may require for a relaxing break. Thank you so much and we look forward to visiting again soon.

A fabulous English country hotel that is really 5 star. Rooms are well kept, hotel grounds and food is excellent. Breakfast is high quality with great food. Service is impeccable. We really enjoyed this place and was the best hotel we’ve stayed in England for a family looking for 5 star. They are family friendly. Our kids are 10 and 12 but got use of the outdoor pool anytime (when it’s warm weather it’s very nice) and the indoor pool is huge and they have very good timings for families so it doesn’t feel like you’re restricted. We stayed in a junior suite. They had a sofa bed and put in a small put out bed for my 10 year old. It was comfy but a bit squished but ok for our short stay. Prob look at the family suite for the next stay. We’d really like to go back some day.

Needs considerable investment. Whole place looking really tired from the rooms to the lounges and sadly the gardens. We booked a junior suite the sofa was almost threadbare and sadly the bathroom as well. The hotel should shut and refurbished or prepare to be 4 star . Staff remain excellent.

Had a wonderful weekend . The staff are excellent , very helpful and friendly. They are always prepared to go that extra mile to make sure your stay is the best you could wish for. The food is delicious, the flavours of each course excellent. Even the picnic my husband had when he went fishing was very good.

Chewton Glen is a truly wonderful place. Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. The team warmly welcome you and the rooms are lovely. We stayed in a Courtyard room which comes with a lovely private outside space. We ate in both restaurants with the dining room being our favourite both for food and atmosphere. The spa facilities and team are also wonderful. The added bonus, which we had not realised, is the hotel is only a 20 minute walk to the beach. If you fancy a longer stroll along the beach, Mudeford Quay is about a 3 mile walk, which I also recommend. We will definitely stay again.

Stayed a few days for my birthday. Suite had a hot tub which was nice. It was a generous space and quiet. The breakfasts were a little underwhelming and not in keeping with the reputation and vibe of the hotel. More premier inn buffet than Michelin star. Also the main restaurant seems to have lost some ambition and finesse since my first visit in the 2000s. However the location is great and actually the casual dining restaurant was surprisingly good.
