We had the most lovely stay at the 3 Hills. When we arrived we were able to grab a drink and head straight to our room which was separate to the pub. Our room was bright and modern and very comfortable. A group of friends joined us in the bar late afternoon for drinks before we left for a wedding in the evening. Service was spot on and the pub was beautiful, modern and cosy. Breakfast the next morning was made to order and delicious. Every request was catered for and we were made to feel very welcome. The 3 Hills is a credit to the area and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this as a place to stay or stop and have a bite to eat. We will be back for Sunday lunch when we’re next in the area. I can honestly say my whole stay was perfect! My room was so clean, facilities were perfect....bedding was crisp white! The place is an absolute hidden gem! Emma and Emily are the most loveliest people and nothing is too much trouble day or night...not that I needed to contact them for any issues. My only regret is not being around to try the food but certainly will in June when I return. Parking was right outside my room which was great for unpacking/packing my belongings. Thank you so much Emma, my stay was truly outstanding! xx

Stayed overnight after arriving into Stansted from Australia. Easily reachable by car and far more interesting, fun and better value than the airport hotels. Also, a great base (or starting point) for accessing the local region (Cambridge, Ely, Norfolk, Suffolk all a short drive away). Room was very comfortable and perfect for a short stay. And the pub itself, obviously the highlight, is charming and made special by both the excellent staff and very high quality restaurant. I ate dinner on arrival (and even though I got there just after the kitchen officially closed, they were happy to take my order and allow me to relax). Breakfast was equally good, a great spread and top notch cooked options available. Well worth the visit.

Good Friday lunch, excellent food, service and ambience yet again at The Three Hills, Bartlow. The sardines to start, then the haddock and desserts were all delicious and faultless, as always. Nothing is too much trouble. Keep up the good cohesive work everyone! Well done to you all.

Booked here for 3 couples to celebrate 2 birthdays and we couldn’t have picked a better place ! We had an eat and stay package and all had lovely, stylish, spotlessly clean rooms with appreciated little touches . Had an amazing meal in the evening and impressed that the came to check that everyone was happy with their meal . Breakfast was just as impressive . Almost don’t want to recommend in case it’s always fully booked !

A brilliant stay. Beautiful modern room, very comfy bed with crisp clean fresh white sheets, modern powerful shower, all the amenities you could ever require - it's the small touches like full bottle shampoo, conditioner AND body wash / moisturizer - not 121's that really trip this B&B from great, to brilliant. Surrounded by rolling green hills and lots of great walks that the staff are more than happy to direct you on what's best, how to see the most etc. On that note the staff are lovely, incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly. All in all, great!

I really don't want to promote/praise this place as it will make it too popular and then be much harder to book. Lovely staff, nice rooms, good gastropub food. What's not too like?? But please keep it quiet & to yourself. PS car park has big pot holes-nothing is perfect

Our stay could not have been more delightful.From the moment that we walked through the door we were warmly welcomed and that welcome continued throughout our time at the Three Hills. All the staff were attentive and helpful without being unctuous, and they universally went the extra mile. For example, at breakfast we asked why the hotel had its name (there were no hills in sight) and not only did the waitress tell us the reason, but she also printed off the information about the "hills" and told us how to get there. This would be remarkable at any time, but given the difficulty of finding good staff, is exceptional. They should take a bow for the quality of their recruitment and training. I went with a friend and we had a twin room which was very comfortable with comfortable beds and linen, a huge and powerful shower, a coffee machine and generous supplies of water.

Simply the best pub/hotel I know. There is attention to detail in the rooms, the bar and the restaurant. Lovely garden by the Granta. The food is excellent with a varied menu and a good wine list. The staff are all exceptional, very welcoming from the moment of arrival. I shall be back regularly.
