The best guest house I've stayed in,very cozy and very clean rooms,extremely friendly and helpful staff.Would highly recommend,can't wait to stay there again..

My husband and had a wonderful stay in the family room. The staff were very attentive and cheery and did all they could to make us feel comfortable. The breakfasts were perfect, we had the full vegetarian and everything was thought out and beautifully presented, we couldn’t have wished for more. A great additional facility is the provision of a fridge, microwave & small oven (though you’d need your own oven gloves!) in the communal lounge to heat up meals if we wanted to eat in our room. This was particularly appreciated as there wasn’t much choice in the area for eating out in the evening, although we could have eaten in the dining room for part of the week if we’d let the kitchen staff know beforehand. On first sight of Holcombe, it maybe doesn’t really stand out, it’s unassuming and in a residential area, but then you go through the front door and find a real hidden gem! We wouldn’t hesitate to book up again if visiting that part of Lincolnshire.

Stayed here in room 2 for 2 nights. I arrived about 4pm and was checked in. The guest house offers breakfast for an extra charge and I asked for the vegetarian option. The room was located on the first floor via stairs. Not really accessible for those with mobility problems, although there were definitely rooms on the ground floor too. The room was good sized with a single bed, wardrobe, a cabinet, a hairdryer, a washing sink and an armchair. Bath and hand towels were also provided. I had stayed the previous summer in another room and a small fan was provided. This room didn’t have that. One of the nights was hot enough that I slept without covers, so a fan would definitely have been welcome, but not a showstopper. There was no desk to work on, which made working on my laptop a bit difficult. Location-wise, the hotel is close to the Lincolnshire Wolds and about 30 minutes to the Humberside, by car. There’s not much in Barnetby-le-Wold, although there is a small supermarket nearby and a Co-op about 15 minutes walk. Overall, I had an excellent stay.

Friendly staff, parking on site, clean and quiet. Excellent value for money. Recommended!

The property, itself, is very clean and the bed was comfortable. The room size was about right, given my brief stay but I was surprised that the bathroom/shower facilities were shared; it had stated 'private bathroom' on their ******* Listing. Given my early departure this could have been an issue; meaning having to get up extra early to guarantee being able to shower before leaving (for work/business). Location wise it is close to the railway station and a few shops/takeaways/restaurants. If the bathroom situation is not an issue (for you) then I'd recommend. Quiet area too.
